How do you guys feel about Georgia, as in trails, surounding, Housing costs, crime, privatcy, and general info .. Im in the process of changing careers in the AF and there are a couple of locations that Im looking at, Moody is one of them and Im looking for some answers from the locals down there..

Moody would get you right around Gray Rock ORV and they have a pretty good trails.
Would put you close to the interstate
4hours from Tellico
4 hours from Monteagle
5-6 hours from Windrock

I spent much of my youth in Georgia, Atlanta to be more precise. Atlanta is quite a bit different than the rest of the state, so I don't know if I can help much. Valdosta will definately have fewer people than Hampton. Things are a bit slower down there if I remember correctly. Weather wise, Think of the traditional deep south, hot and humid, with spanish moss on all the trees and you can probably get a general idea. you are probably looking more at mudding trails around the area than other type of wheeling.
Valdosta is right off of I75, which will get you just about anywhere quickly. One thing I miss about Atlanta is we had access to I75, I85, and I20 right there.
It has been about 10 years since I was down to Valtosta, so my info is out of date..

Valdosta sucks, I lived there for three years. Its totally redneck and insanely hot with crazy high humidity. There's no good wheeling unless you like mud and the cops are absolutely out of hand. I've never seen an area with so many police and not only are there tons of them but they love to pull you over for no reason. Don't even get me started about the Remerton Police. Remerton is a city within the city of Valdosta. When I was there I was pretty young so there were some good bars to go to (if you are in college), but I couldn't imagine living there now as far as entertainment is concerned. It is pretty cheap, but thats about all I can say about it. So as you can see I don't have much good to say about it.
Btw, I thought Grey Rock was in N. Alabama and you'd be seriously haulin to get to Tellico in 4 hrs from the GA/FL border.

I have a choice between AZ, NV, GA, NM... The reason why Im asking is because of my GF, her family is in Jackson MS., and she is extreamly family orented... So I was looking to go to GA. for a couple of years and then moving out west were I will be happy.. Shes still having a rough time being away from her family, and still getting used to the military..

If you notice he mentioned Moody...The only Moody I know is in AL B'ham area maybe he was talking of another area I just saw Moody and thought AL
