Uwharrie This weekend??

URE is definitely an awesome place for a weekend warrior. I drove all the way out there & wheeled the whole place a few years ago. My only complaint was that it was too easy lol. So personally I wouldn't come all the way back out there just for some wheeling. But now if all good naxja brothers & sisters were going to be there it might be worth another go. It's only about 2 hrs further than Harlan for me. But the wheeling is a lot better at Harlan for sure so its easy to justify the longish trip.
 
I agree. Its easy wheeling. There nothing really for a buggy or anything. Id love to go to Harlan but with the family its just not feasible right now.
 
Alright, so.... who's going?

Where are you camping? What are you bringing?

Looks like I'll be towing ole' Frank up to URE and camping in Arrowhead. I'll have the kids so I'd like to be near a decent restroom and electricity for a heater at night. If they go and are miserable this time then I'll be hard pressed to get them to go again.

So, I'll have room for other folks if you'd like to share a camp site. I'm usually pretty good about sharing my dinner with few folks as well if you want dinner I may have a couple extra burgers.

Bring yo own tent and you'll be good to go.

Let me know asap.

I'm leaving Abbeville around 5pm Friday so I'll be there around 8pm Friday night. Looking to set up camp and do some night wheeling.
 
It'll be Saturday before I get up there. Should know tomorrow if my buddy is coming with me or not. Not sure if I/we will camp just yet...depends on how I feel come the end of the week. Can't seem to shake off whatever this bug is I got several weeks ago...
 
I hate to be like this but the trip is still up in the air... paying for spring school stuff is taking a heavy financial toll on an already tiny budget.

Like I said, I'll be in Arrowhead. In a site as close to the bathhouse as possible. When ya get there come find me. I'll have my CB on channel 14 as well.

I know the feeling, Man. If ya want to camp... know that you have a free site in the campground.
 
I doubt I'll make it. Big ghost is not done and baby ghost has her dash still appart. On a lighter note it was the headlight switch that was killing the headlights!
 
So who the hell am I going to wheel with!? lol

I'm still up in the air about which Jeep I want to take.

If no one is going to wheel the harder trails then I'll ride up in the little Jeep and make it more of a camping thing than a wheeling thing...

If someone is going to be there with a big built Jeep then I'll bring the big one so i can keep up...
 
Let me see what I get done between now and Friday night. Might be able to swing a day trip in baby ghost by saturday am.
 
Well, that depends on who's going....

Originally I was going to take the baby Jeep because my friend was taking his Stock 4x4 Ford Ranger.

Now he's not going so I'd be hesitant to take the baby Jeep.

I'd be awefully upset if I took the baby one and no one else showed up in some small rig. Then I'd be stuck beating the hell out of mine to make it up.

Honestly, it's looking like the biggun is going to NC. At least that way I could ride the small trails and the big trails... I really need to put the transmission in the Jeep.
 
I'm gonna show up sat in the am. I might camp till Sunday depending on the weather and how I feel. I'll shoot ya a text. Got your number from nc4x4. I might try to convince one of my buddies to come along.
 
Tim (uncc) and I will be there on Saturday as far as I know. Josh is trying to get his truck together today so he might be coming along aswell.
