Uwharrie This weekend??

Yeah it works out pretty well I wouldn't have been able to make it this weekend. Ball joints on the Dirtymax took much longer than we expected. Man... The lower let go like a cannon.

Yea Tim (UNCC) and I were planning on going next weekend. I cant swing this weekend as I have an exam to take care of and a couple of things to do. If you guys all wanna meet next weekend I am totally down for it. It would be awesome to get a large group going next weekend if everyone can swing it.

It's a sign. The flog should be farther south so the folks in the lower states can afford to go instead of having both events way the hell up there.

No but we can do a flog here next year too. We did it before and you were there. Maybe we need to start to consider an event at URE every year?

With the new proposed BOD that will be coming in, it would be highly likely that many events will shift east.

That was the first event I made it to and it's actually the only official event I've made simply because I can't travel that far.

Was the flog at Uwharrie (in 09?) the only time it was at Uwharrie or was it an ongoing thing and then changed locations?

I'd love a event at Uwharrie. Sure, it's not the best wheeling this side of the country but it's what we have and it's where I can realistically make it to in a weekend.

Honestly, I prefer the wheeling at Gulches over Uwharrie but the size and camping arrangements make too much of a difference.

Ed.... you did a great job... I could have stepped up more and tried harder to do more for this area. I think we have discussed it in the past, this area does not draw people in from all over like Harlan or Golden Mountain will. Honestly I don't see them shifting anything more east. However, someone else might have to handle the Flog next year. I have never made it to a flog simply bc I cannot afford two big trips a year.
