I usually go by 2KXJ, but on :: it was already taken by a guy who hasn't logged on since January of 05. Who would know if it's possible for me to change mine from 2KXJmakinwaves to just 2KXJ? Thanks,

Well, you can pick a different username that's similar to yours. Once you pick one, run it through the user list and make sure it isn't already taken. If its free, I'm sure it will be yours...

Also, if user names have been idle for awhile (not clear how long) those names will not appear on the user list... but will appear in the database.

IF a person has a long idle name, and are currently registered and using something else, an admin can merge those two names (and the posts/PMs under those names) into one.

does not re-issue member numbers either, unless it is going back to the person it was originally issued to. Otherwise there would be a cat-fight over all the 'vacant' low numbers.
