I'm thinking May. Lets get the NC and SC guys together and put some faces to some names. Post up if you are intrested and when would be a good time. Late may is bad for me I have a lot planned then. How about we look at the 1st the 8th or the 15th. What say you guys? :yap:

I cant say what is going on or where my jeep will be around then but I know that I wont be able to make it. I have some secret service kinda stuff going on with my jeep right now. :firedevil But there will be pics when its done!

Just bc you dont have a jeep to wheel does nto mean you coudl not come out for a meet and or ride. :rolleyes:

What section?

We're going to try and do Springer Mtn to Fontana Dam in 7.5 days. Roughly 160 miles or something like 22 miles a day. We aren't in the ultralight category for the gear, but we have what I would consider to be lighter packs (I'm carrying 35 lbs and my wife is carrying around 18lbs). We have a SPOT device, so I'll likely post a link up on here somewhere so people can track us.

GA will be very difficult to pump out 22 mile days if you aren't in tip-top hiking shape. There is no right or wrong, but I'm just finishing that section, and I would plan more for 10-12 days to get to Fontana. The terrain smooths out after you cross the border into NC, with the exception of the welcoming climb out of Blys Gap. Plus, just my experience, when you are hauling that much ass down the trail I think you miss the opportunity to stop and enjoy it.

1st = Senior Design wrap up
8th = Finals
15 = Graduation

Last weekend in May i'll be on a boat in the Caribbean :D

I vote June, or a 2nd meet and green later on in the summer.

The later in May or early June the better for me, b/c i would really like to finally get down there and meet some of you all! But it's ghost's party so whatever works for ya'll and i will try to make it down!

If we do a second one in fall I would be able to make it. These summer events will be very tough for me to make. Plus fall would give me time to lift the stockie

I just thought I would throw this out there to see what everyone has going on. I really want to hit up URE in the next 45-60 days. Asuming I get the damn rear back together. I love to ride there it is the closest place for me to go with the most miles. I see there are several that want to go and some that want to do it in June. I do not have a problem trying to get it done mroe then once. So lets see who else chimes in and later in the month we can see who can do it and who cannot. TY for the responses.

Ill be down i try to go about once to twice a month. Went last week and a rodeo rolled INTO the 1st mud pit LOL and the ledge on daniel 2nd one is almost gone 1st is so-so

I'll be headed up to meet with some friends on the weekend of the 30th. Have to run into concord first to drop the doors off, then headed back if anyone wants to wheel with us. Right now its a 4runner, my xj, and I believe another XJ.
