"Upgrades" you most regret spending money on

New 235/75's on a BB dumbest thing I ever did

Im sure you know this but have you tried air soft pellets? I have square Iroks with rock-rings and with the airsoft pellets it balances out really well.
i run airsoft pellets as well with good luck, but not with rock rings.

I've been trying to ask around and have never got an answer... So ill try asking you, if the tire calls for a total of 18 oz do I throw in 18 oz of air soft pellets? Or what did you use? I started with 8 with little to no change... Help a brother out here lol

wow.... and they say CA sucks for modified cars.

No, aside from emissions, which a smart person can work with, California is pretty good for car culture. THink about it, no safety inspections like you'd have back home.

I've also been pulled over for mudflaps in Utah, I was actually very surprised Rainer made it all the way to Moab and back without getting pulled over for no mud flaps or flares on my red Jeep in 2008.

And you are just like everyone else... Yes it says 6oz of pellets... Well I'm 18 oz off so when I added the 8oz in my tires it did NOTHiNG... Also I have a lateral imbalance, so I've read beads can't really help me, but because I have nothing else to lose i might as well try the full 18 oz the tire originally asked for...

Spending a ton of money on a pimped out D30 (4.88s, lockrite, WJ setup, all new TNT mounts, HD cover, etc.).

Only to throw 35s on it a few months later and blow it up in 2 trail runs.

they are cheap and extra won't even really hurt. Why are you asking questions instead of just dumping a bunch in and seeing if it helps?

Not really an upgrade, but i painted "JEEP" and "CHEROKEE" on the side of my rig. i thought it was cool at first but now i just look at it and shake my head.

i did buy sway bar disconnects once but selling them bought my membership here so it wasn't a big fail.

.
you're preaching to the choir..... saftey inspections are a BIATCH. dealt with those in CT. cops around here only target ricers, which is pretty nice.

Utah inspections are no big deal and honestly I'm glad they do them. The fender flare and mud flap thing sucks but if it stops the idiots with bad ball joints and bald tires from registering their cars I'm all for it.

Our emissions are pretty simple. They plug the machine into your obdII port and it passes or fails. No dyno.

Are they still dynoing non obd cars? Here they just stick a sniffer in the pipe.

Glad they changed that for you guys though. What a stupid thing to have to go through.

yea older cars need to run on the dyno. it isnt a big deal though, i think of it as a free checkup. I WANT my car running properly, the extra money wasted on gas does not compare to the $35 smog check every 2 years.

Wait, how does Derek manage to register *any* of his vehicles?

I just threw in 4, 8oz cups of the white med weight pelets. the amount of weight shouldent matter as much as stationary weights because the pellets move to where they are needed. in therory you could ballence the wheels wight pellets add wheel weights to make it off balance. and the pellets should compensate for the new weight.

and they sound awesome when you drive slow and come to a stop!
