actually teachers salaries are calculated at a yearly pay rate.
Most take continuing education, but technically the unions tell them they only have to work 8 hours a day. 9 months a year.
They don't go without pay during the summer unless they allocate their check in such a way as to pay a years salary in 9 months of school.
I wish I could work 9 months a year, with KILLER bennies, and only 8 hrs a day.
Then....they only strike during the school year. Why ? Because they plan it that way without regard to the children they are teaching, or they families that pay their wages.
THAT is B.S. all the way around.
