Yes I will be there. I will bring a Grill. Hotdogs, Buns, Soda and Gatorade. All in a big cooler. The cooler is open to anyone that needs to store stuff in it. I will look forward to meeting everyone at PIR that’s going to be there at 7:30a (I hate being late.) I will have a free seat if anyone wants to come and just ride. I noticed that some guy's wont have there XJ's ready. Trust me you wont want to miss this run it's going to be historic. Torx I will be there to help if needed, But I also like Fivendime want to mingle with the NAXJA crowd to meet everyone and decide if I want to join. I am looking forward to this run I can't wait.

Stock is not going to be a problem for this run.

As for the thunk, check for play in the u-joints.

I'll update the attendance list tonight.

I'm blown away by the amount of interest we're getting for this.

sherm. i think a group from salem jeepers is meeting at the cosco in salem, saturday morning. you could probably convoy it up with some of them if youd like. ill post up some details when there more clear, were still in the tally stage.

im leaving friday.you can folow me if youd like to camp along, we dont mind.

I will be bringing my BBQ for grillen, mustard, relish, ketchup, and some brownies for lunch. Might even chop up an onion as well if I remember. And I hope the alcohol was a joke.

Since we have a lot of new faces coming out for this, I thought I'd go over some simple expectations and trail etiquette. Most of this shouldn't be anything new to a lot of you, but for those who have never been on a run or been a part of a large group, take a moment to it over.

-Leave the alcohol at home and off the trail.
-Make an effort to keep the language in check.
-Always keep the person behind you in sight. This means at turns wait for them. If we all do this, nobody should ever become separated form the group.
-Give the person in front of you plenty of space on the trail. This becomes important on hills and obstacles, in case they need to backup.
-If you see quads or motorcycles behind you, pull off at the next avaiable spot to let them pass.
-Slow down when entering staging areas or campgrounds (please keep your speed down when entering Rogers in the morning; there will be a lot of people there).
-Lastly, STAY ON THE DESIGNATED TRAIL! If you're hung up on an obstacle ask for some help rather than creating your own bypass around it.
If you're wondering what you can do between now and Saturday, take a look at 2xtreme's Vehicle Preparedness List. Don't worry so much about spare parts, tools, and recovery gear, we'll try and go over that there. However, most of the other stuff applies to this run. Make sure to give your rig a once over before Saturday (check suspension bolts, fluids are topped off, etc). We understand things happen, but preventative maintenance can go a long ways.

Also, on Saturday lets try and meet at the far end (east end) of Rogers Camp. I don't want to congest the entrance, especially if ODF and their volunteers will be staging in the main area. Like I said above, try and keep your speed down when entering the staging area. Although, this isn't an "official" NAXJA event, the image we present on Saturday as a group will not only directly affect how others portray NAXJA, but also the four wheel drive community as well. That goes for any run, anytime. I guess what I'm getting at is don't be an asshat. ;)

This thread is filling up pretty quick with info. I'll likely start another thread later in the week with the key info condensed in one post.

Only five more day to go!

I need to install my CB also.

Other than that I am ready. Would like to have my interrior done.. but for a day I can run without any flooring.

Another XJ to add to the list is my Dad and his wife. He told me he was going today.

Hi Guys! I've been a quiet member for quite a while but I'd love to go! At the moment I'm 90% sure I'm going plus a friend to get out and push me. I can also bring some frozen chicken parts, we have a lot of extras I think in our freezer

Oh man, I'm really bummed I'm missing out on this.

Any chance there might be a similar get together maybe later this Summer or something??
We'll be having our annual Thanksgiving run again this year in November. I'd also like to do a big camping/wheeling trip sometime over the summer, maybe around September. A few of us did a trip at the end of August for a weekend last year, and it was one of the best runs of the year. Perfect weather, awesome traction, and no carnage.

Tell us when you want to head down, and we'll show you around.

Sweet im so excited! I've never done this before so it'll be something new i just hope i don't break anything its my DD so i'd be kinda screwed oh well accupational hazard.

You should be fine. This is a Noob run, to show you the ropes and have fun. There should be 0 oppertunity for enough abuse to break anything. Just make sure your good on your preventitive maintenance!
