For several reasons, I've decided it's time to trailer the XJ. I'm looking at a US Cargo 18' car-hauler with 2 3500lb braked axles for under $2k. Anyone had any experience with US Cargo? Any other important non-obvious things I should be concerned about? And where is a good source for straps and other tie-down equipment? The actual towing won't be a concern with my Powerstroke E-350, and the motorhome will be fine once I upgrade the hitch and rear frame extensions. Thanks in advance, guys.

Mine is us cargo.

might even be the same one.

good, solid brand.

I don't know how the loaded trailer will have affect your tow vehicles, but I am a BIG fan of the dual cam anti sway/ WD combo hitch.

worth every penny.

recently added airbags.

awesome.

I also like my digital brake controller.

I got the weight-dist. setup with 500, 750, and 1000 lb bars from my various travel trailers so I should be able to dial that in. The sway control- :dunno: never needed it on the XJ with this setup http://community.webshots.com/photo/92943384/93291802wjEegD
I've got a couple brake controllers that worked pretty well with a few adjustments, is the digital that much of an improvement?
I also have air bags on both vehicles, and a motorhome rear sway bar on the van.
How about a source for straps and stuff?

I get all mine from Tractor Supply.
They have a large selection, including axle straps.

...I get my straps from this place:

Straps

 are those strong enough to handle the jeep? :D

Thanks Terry, I'll try Farm-n- Fleet on my way back from the Badlands next week.

Check out the paint. My brand new Carson trailer totally rusted within 3 months of CA use. I am going to spray it top and bottom with some decent paint.

Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller is flat awesome. I get my stuff from RJay's, they have the lowest prices on most stuff, in stock, and most of it ships free. Check them out here: RJay's
