If anyone is interested, I am able to put together cheap first aid/rescue kits for people. Shoot me a PM if you need one and we can discuss what you need and what prices will be (I promise they are cheaper than in the stores or catalogs!). You guys stay safe....Also if there are any get togethers or small clubs who want or need first aid/ trauma management training done, let me know!

Intrested. Do you have a list of kits that you have already put together?

How 'bout donating one to the Chapter for a raffle or National for the '08 Giveaway.

This thread probably belongs in the for sale forum but I have a few questions that would be good info.
what kind of things can you add to a kit? What I want is a trauma kit that includes stuff for more severe trauma. Can you put together a suture kit with antiseptics and stuff to clean and suture a gash that would need stitches? i'd love to have a fields suture kit with some lidocan and iodine as well as some sutures. Along with some sterile gloves and stuff.
More than once I have seen injuries where a small bit of knowledge of suturing and the correct instruments and antiseptics could have made field repairs.
And you get on some of these trails a mile deep in a canyon. something like that could help.

Maybe some morphine and ether as well....i hear those are handy to have around.

<serious> the training could be pretty cool as well. Are you licensed or whatever to teach that type of class? </serious>

Morphine is some pretty heavy stuff, I wouldn't play around with that unless you REALLY know what your doin.

If you are with me Ryan, I have two bags of normal saline, an ambu bag, lidocaine, suture kit, whatever.

In the wrong hands, that stuff will do more damage than help though. I wouldnt want any of you guys suturing me lol.

What's up all...sorry it's taken me so long to get back on here...I'm currently teaching a Combat Trauma Management course for 1st Marine Division...I have no civillian certifications....haven't needed them in Iraq, but I can get you the knowledge you need or want to get out there and take care of some of the things you might normally see. I am not necessarily (sp) selling these, I am also willing to trade for them. I have access to just about anything you might need, but as for the Morphine...Fentanyl is so much better and you don't have to worry about head injuries with it as much...just kidding...I hate Morphine, it's too much of a pain in the arse and it messes up all of your vitals, so I run some other meds, but those are all schedule drugs, so I cannot in good conscience distribute them. Any other questions? Oh, as fort the donation....who do I talk to? I would be more than willing to do something like that. The more prepared people we have out there, the more fun we Jeepers (or in my case Eepers) can have.

Take it easy,
Doc Hamilton

p.s. sorry, I've been up (literally) since Tuesday morning running drills with the students, so I'm a little long winded.
