What is the toughest sidewall out there? Must be a mud tire.

I dont know if anyone has ever done a comparison. As far as a "regular" tire goes, the swamper SX is supposed to have real strong sidewall. I would assume any competition rock crawling tire (i.e. krawler, creepys, trepadors, etc.) would have to have some tough sidewalls.

Micky thompsons M/T's have very strong sidewalls, i don't know if they are the strongest though.

TOYO open country are some of the strongest by far. I work at a tire store like i have mentioned before in some of these threads. been doing it for 6 years. so i have mounted up damn near every type of mud tire and etc. All toyo m/t's ora heavy load range E meaning alot more plys and loads. I love the sidewalls on them. the only downfall is they weigh a sh1tload. thats jut my opinion.

tread maybe, but I believe the sidewall is 4. Still, they are tough as hell.

which ones you talking about?

those ^

Super Swamper TSL SX's are by far some of the toughest sidewalled tires on the market. IIRC, you can get them with up to an 8 ply sidewall. For what it's worth, I've never seen an SX with a cut sidewall, ever.

My last tires were 36 TSL-SX. I bought them because I never saw one cut either. Mud and rocks in Arkansas and Tenn. were tough on tires but those things never cut. BFG would pop the most. I'd like these after my 35 krawlers give outhttp://www.4wheelerssupply.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/71452

Second this. Toyo's are unreal for there performance. One of the very few tires Raced off-road, right off the shelf. BFG's off the shelf tire would not go 5 miles on a Trophy Truck!

Add on to this thread...can you mount any / all of these on an 8" wide wheel? Manufacturer's recommend 8.5" but finding an 8.5" width is impossible.
