this is why I vote.

to stop people like this from being the majority.

So you feel the rich should get richer & the middle class should have to foot the bill? If so, your a focking idiot.. He hasn't change a thing in 4 years. Do yourself a favor & go google all the promises he made 4 yrs ago & see how much he actually did, now he is begging for 4 more yrs to make chit happen that he promised 4 yrs ago.

I disagree...He's hoping that he can fool the sheeple into another 4 years so he can finish ruining the country! He's off to a great start since we are in a debt our great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren may never be able to pay off. Provided of course all the countries that we owe (how did THAT happen?) money to don't just call in their markers and bankrupt us flat out. Then he continues to support the socialist ideals and works towards dismantling the Constitution... That is why he is begging to be reelected.
To all: Vote smart. Hold your elected officials to task or boot them out! PLEASE!

Do I feel the rich should get richer? your damn right I do. Why should anyone be penalized for being successful? My theory is....the more money the "rich" have, the more they will spend. Them spending money creates jobs for you and I. That redistribution od wealth chit DEF aint gonna work.

i hope this comment is directed at the idiots in the video and not me. :wave1: successful people deserve to keep the money they work for. we need regulations to keep jobs here and not overseas, tax imported products, and rewrite the tax codes. everyone should be responsible for paying the same share of their income as tax. no breaks for the rich or big companies or exemptions for politicians and the like. im not ultra conservative by any means, i'm sort of in the middle.

I definitely think you have to be a moron to think that a company should be prevented from making profits. that is the exact opposite of the "american dream" everyone is so proud of in this country.

I agree with you completely. I don't understand people's outlook on how they think this economy works.... seems pretty simple to me.

I love their claim of 4.5 million new jobs. That may be true but the fact is that during that time 4.8 million people lost their job. That means that they have a net loss of 300,000 jobs since Obummer took office.

The net job loss figure I heard is 1,000,000.

A lot of people think "profit" is a dirty word, and "capitalism" is somehow immoral.

To those of you,.. I say: LEARN. Seriously. Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell is a good place to start if you like to read. If you live near a university, sit in and audit a macro-economics course(It's generally free to audit, but if not, grab a course schedule and just show up. The prof might take attendance to see who's there, but not to see who doesn't belong,.. ;) )

Capitalism isn't immoral, it's amoral. So is Socialism. So is Communism, and so is Anarchy.
PEOPLE can be moral or immoral based on a widespread, commonly accepted system of belief.
Economic systems are not moral or immoral.
Neither are systems of government.

Capitalism works because it answers the single question: "What's in it for ME." When it comes down to it, that's all people care about, and capitalism has a better response then any other system tried anywhere else. Heck, most other systems don't even try for an answer.

NO country has produced more wealth for more people then the US, EVER. We didn't do this by impoverishing the rest of the world. We did it by creating wealth. Is it fair? No. Does everyone get some for free? No. Wanna trade this for anywhere in Africa? China,.. Anywhere?
The Soviet Union couldn't outperform the US under any circumstance. They killed 30 million of their own people trying to whip them into working harder, and it didn't happen because people will not work for the common good as hard as they will work for themselves.
Is our system perfect? Not even close. Anyone else manage to do any better?

The biggest problem we seem to have right now is so many people trying to tear down what we've achieved in some ill-fated attempt to make it "fair" for everyone, and they might just succeed.

Yeah, they might succeed at tearing it down, but never at making it "fair" for everyone. There is no such thing as economic equality. Some people need to learn that this is unachievable.

I just want my country back. Remember when we were the place everyone wanted to go to, escape to, or defect to in order to simply have a shot at a better life? These were the willing to work, those that knew where they were was a far shade darker than the America dreamed of.... As the "greatest generation" slowly dies off and takes their work ethic, morality, and American absoluteism with them.. We eek towards a day when all they will be remembered for is a page or two in a history book.... There are still good Americans left in our country... we are dispersed and a bit bruised.. but one day when the lion is awakened it will rear its head and the roar will echo around the globe. "I'm STILL the damn King of THIS jungle"....!

It's hard to make people understand that the only rights you have are your God given rights or for the Atheist human rights. That does not mean you are entitled to what someone else has that they acquired by their hard work or even luck for that matter. The bottom line is it's not yours it's his whether he earned it won it or educated himself to get it! What did you do for it other than watch him get it then you want it. Today people forget what hard work and sacrifice and a little luck will get you. They want instant gratification they want it now and they want it free. America needs to get back to their roots and roll up their sleeves and just because your in a union doesn't mean you should be paid the same or get what the guy next to you has or earns especially when his pile of coal higher or his class that he teaches has more 4.0 students going on to graduate and yours are dropping out. Stop being lazy work for what you want don't ask for it.

I got a chuckle out of the video. Grimm, thanks for sharing!

There were the People who believe in social justice in the video. You know the folks who believe that the US should be a commune where everyone should take home the same exact piece of the pie.

Then there were the folks who thought about the question good and hard, realized that it was a trap, and still stuck their head in the noose.

Here's what generated these seemingly idiotic answers:

When a Company does good, 100% of the Employees of that company will tell you that they expect to get something for enabling that to happen. Same deal when the company goes in the red. It's just that when they see a CEO and the BOD boosting their salaries and cutting theirs when times get tough; well that's when 100% of those Employees cry "FOUL".

There is a difference between "Corporate Profits" and "What CEO's and BOD Members take home". Corporate Profits enable a Corporation to Grow and Prosper enabling more jobs to be created. Larger wages for CEO's and BOD's do not translate, especially in hard times, to the bottom line in a positive way and are cancerous for the entire operation.

The problem is that at the start of this recession, Employees were asked to bare the brunt of the cutbacks, and the CEO's and BOD's got even larger bonuses for doing that. The Corporations have recovered, The CEO's and BOD's got even larger Bonuses, and the Employee has been left behind.

I have no problem with a CEO or Board Member taking home more than me. Those jobs can be stressful and they are at it 24/7. However, I'll be damned if I see my piece of the Corporate Pie decrease so they can have more when we all should have been cutting back to make the Business grow.

I just read that over: I guess am feeling redundant today
