Thinkin of Sellin my Jeep

Hey I was thinking of getting rid of my beloved XJ. It's a love hate relationship and unfortunately I'm a little short on funds right now and its just a money pit as all jeeps are....

1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport
-182,xxx miles. Runs like a champ
-Firm shifting AW-4 trans
-Grey cloth interior in great condition. No rips or tears except for one cut on the rear soundbar
-Power everything. All switches and windows work
-D30/35. Brakes and steering good. Steering wheel is centered and it is aligned
-4" lift from RE 3.5" springs and LCAs in front and S10 bastard pack in rear
-Rear axle shimmed, no driveline vibrations
-Brand new Skyjacker Nitro shocks. Ride is firm but good for a lifted truck and not bone-jarring
-33x12.5 tires. 2 BFG MT in rear ~75% tread. 1 BFG MT in front ~35% tread. 1 Pathfinder AT in front ~40% tread
-Black Cragar 15x8 D-windows
-$400ish stereo. Very nice Pioneer deck with Ipod control + charging. Sony 4-way 5 1/4"s in the doors and Pioneer 3-way 6 1/2"s in rear sound bar. Sounds amazing
-Aluminum cold air intake
-Flowmaster 1 chamber (sets of car alarms and people think its a V8. awesome sound)
-New SuperStar headlights (really bright)
-Cut front fenders + cut-n-fold rear
-Bedlined rockers and lip of rear fenders (will repaint before sale)

And I'll throw in a new AC condenser, tow hooks, and steel for 2 bumpers and rock rails


What do you guys think? How much could I get?

well i have not seen anyone post up. I will but understand this is just imo.
given that it is almost stock aside from the lift and a few engine mods its a nice jeep and the current price these are going for. I would say 1800 to 2k.

id agree with the last few posts. around 1500 sounds about right. it looks a little better than some so maybe 1800.

a cheap peiced together short arm lift that could be resold fo very little( bastard packs, cheap shocks, and 3.5" dont sell for alot, you didnt say what lcas, i sold my last RE super flex lcas for 80$)
how new is the radiator/water/pump/cooling system in general?
180-190k is the time when both of my xj's ive owned have had the overheating issue with bad radiator and pump....
there have been a bunch of geared and locked xj's with way better lifts and good tread tread on clist in the past 3 months for all 2800-3200, i check it every single day, prices setups

i would throw it on craigslist for $2800 obo. see if you can get offers in the $2400-$2600...

If no bites, repost for $2500.. Personally, it looks to be in great shape.. I think its worth $2500

Unfortunately it is a buyers market right now for just about everything. I know this is the whole captain obvious type statement, but it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. $1400 sounds about right to me for a minimum amount to sell it for. I do agree that you should post it up on craigslist for around $2000+ and let someone talk you down a bit. Clean rig, but it has no got to have it parts installed, and it needs a couple tires.

There RE superflex arms. Cooling system died and has been fixed already

Don't think I'm sellin it, just wanted to get a number. By the way, I paid $2200 for it

right now everyone is trying to dump stuff for cash and not alot of people have cash and those that do dotn have much.
stock cheroke goes for around 1000
used RE sf arms-80$
bastrad pack-50$
used shocks-50$
used 3.5 coils-60$
total-1440$
mismatched low tread set of 33's-200$ max with rims.
thats what it would sell for
no one wants to buy any of the other stuff.
i agree with clist ,
basically there are a ton of people out there who know nothing about cherokees who might want to buy your jeep if they want a "lifted jeep" and dont realize they could buy a stock xj and do a 3.5" lift and used worn 33's for under 500$ easy.
this is all from experience in buying and sellig jeeps in the last year in this crappy economic situation.
the one thing your jeep has going for it over others is that on smog the evap test stops at 95 so you dont have to evap test your jeep,
