"The Walking Dead" on AMC

i thought for sure carl was going to be on his own. interesting ending.

I'm wondering how they are all going to end up back together....

It was better than i expected. i was sure we would just see a hour of each cast member walking around with maybe a few zombie kills.

michone(spelling?) taking out twentysome walkers was pretty cool, even better when you find out it was written out that she only kills 8. they were talking about it on the talk show afterwards. the director just never called cut, so she kept going till they were all gone.

It still irritates the shit out of me that they had no meeting point planned out for when this day came. That seems like a pretty high priority to me. Especially since they knew it was coming.

we really don't know that they didn't. michone ran off to do her own thing again before she changed her mind. Rick was damn near dead, so we have to assume him and Carl were just trying to find a safe area while he heals. we didn't really see anyone else and what they are doing right now.

i would bet the the next few weeks is slower and them all trying to find each other. boiling down to an intense last couple episodes where they are all running around saving each others life.

carol will be back to either save rick or tyrese

I kinda wanted to see Governor zombie kill a main charter

it looked to me like they bet everything on the bugout bus and were not at all expecting an attack like the gov' layed down on em. they prepped for the walkers busting the gate down not a full on assault by other survivors. I think that was the monkeywrench in their plan so to speak so they all just panicked and scattered.

At first I was bored but after the episode ended I really warmed up to it. It really reminded me of the first season: Light on the talking and heavy on the zombies. Michone's flurry of viscerage a definite bonus. It was definitely a character episode. I think it's the first time since they got to the farm that the main characters, and us, got a reminder of how utterly completely alone they are. Guys at work just keep going on about how much they hate character X or Y... I don't give a shit, it's back to basics: the ****in' zombie apocalypse!

I like it. Even despite the soliloquies and ZJ rims on the YJ.

The Michone thing WAS weird, I'm curious if that was part of her character from the beginning or if they came up with it recently.

My thoughts as well.

Am i the only one who feels embarassed everytime its zombie killing time? The effects are sub par for these days, and its shot in such a way thats embarassing for those of us who dont get a hard on thinking about killing 'zombies'.

I beleive people see killing zombies as a socially acceptable way of venting violent energys, hence people driving around with zombie response vehicle stickers.

Its face palm lame. The effects and reaction.
Sorry if i offended any response team members...

Edit:
Furthermore, you can show a zombies head split open by a machete on basic cable, and people love it, But if these same people were to see a video of a guy on a stretcher at the morgue with a split skull, theyd be horrified... I just dont get it.

I think you put too much into a stupid but somewhat entertaining TV show.

And it's only a basic cable tv show. Not a high budget, high dollar movie. There are very few tv shows with state of the art special effects. I remember the first season they were almost making fun of other zombie shows with the gratuitous violence and the over done squishy sounds a head makes when it splatters. They still take it light heartedly I think.

I don't think the producers ever had a clue that the series would turn into what it has. Hell look at this thread. Hundreds and hundreds of comments from a bunch of adult jeeping dudes about a zombie show. Picking it apart like some blue hair bridge club ladies might pick apart The Days of Our Lives.

I'd say sit back. Watch it with the idea it's just a fun show and nothing more.

for anyone that "hates" Rick, Andrea, Lori, or anyone else on the show, and for all those pissed that they do more talking than killing zombies
you might be forgetting something

The Walking Dead is an American horror DRAMA television series
(on basic cable at that)

the zombies part in this show is no different than the car chase in a cop movie, or the exploding yacht in drug lord movies, or a super fast spaceship in a sifi movie.
that is just there for a little excitement in between the story. this is a drama soap opera, it is not a "how to kill zombies" show.

also because its a tv show, it has no ending. so if they continued to make the right decisions we would get bored because they would all be safe and for the most part out of harms way. that's called the feel good ending at the end of a MOVIE.

we are a couple years into this thing after all, at some point you figure your shit out. so you have to figure in "real life" you put a bullet in the governors face the second he hops out of that tank and you still have the prison. now where would we be with that...oh a zombie...kill. oh the fence is falling...kill. oh we are going on a run for supply's...we got them.

the show needs to stay exciting and that will only happen if everybody is always about to die for one reason or another.

Show sucks. Carl needs a bullet in the face like 4 seasons ago.

Rick is an idiot and a vagina when it comes to making any kind of decision. Its a miracle he was a sheriff of some hick town.

The black chick is a horrible actor, and her character has been pointless since the day she showed up.

The entire show literally sucks.

I can only speak for myself, but its because I thought the show had potential.

Its like when you see some random shit licker kid misbehaving in the grocery store, who cares right? Not my kid or family. But when its a nephew... oh hell no... this will be corrected.

This show makes me want to get into writing television, because its so poorly executed... then again there are people who get excited by a woman killing zombies, who are into that kinda lame shit...

Dunno, you bring up a valid point.

they need to go off on some tangent with maggie(she's hot) , Daryl, tyrese, glen, and beth and carol and pretty much kill everyone else off. Maybe bring carl along until he gets killed off. and bring Morgan back for good.
