The perpetual Pick-n-Pull thread

Rob D - still looking for that proportioning valve? I'm thinking of heading to the p-n-p in Sacramento tomorrow. I'll keep on an eye out. Anyone been there lately? Just wondering if I'll have any luck finding an xj gas tank skid, a zj tie rod and maybe mj shackles.

Yup, still lookin. Thanks for asking.

I found a ton of stuff at the pick-n-pull today. I even found a proportioning valve for you Rob D. It came off a V8 ZJ with front and rear discs. The jeep had minor fire damage under the hood, but the valve and everything around it looked good. I'd be comfortable running it, but that's just my opinion. Give me your shipping address if you want it. I can probably send it out Tuesday evening.

There is a rear Dana 44 in the 87 red cherokee at the back of the North San Jose Pick-n-pull if anyone wants it.

Was just there today 8/2/09

On half price weekends I have pulled a few rear 44's for around $89 each with breaks and drums, and that was with the core charge. I think full price is around $150 - $170

One thing to look for is to find one that has the same gears as your front, or you will have to regear it or both. It should bolt right in, sometime the e-break lines are different, but that could be only for the 97 and up.

there is a dana 44 3.55's lsd in the picknpull on sunrise. badly blown driver side axle seal
one grand cherokee with rear discs for a swap
a couple zj v8 tie rods here and there.

there is a 4cyl manual xj at the picknpull at stockton.
i looked for tags and didnt see any
my guess is 4.56's though.
35 rear

there is a 4cyl 2wd mj there too,
so mj shackles and i couldnt find tags for the diff either.

a v6 86 xj too
i think those had 3.73's right?

went to stockton today. red mj still there. almost tok the shackles but didnt wanna stay in the sun any longer also. red jeep with lift. it was funny as hell. coil separators in the front. it just spreads the stock coil i guess. and then some blocks in the back. four banger 5 speed there. hmm. red limited with decent grey leather interior, but i went today and took most of it to replace mine. lots of d60s laying around at that yard. sitting under all the fords.
some 14 bolts under the chevys., didnt see any xj d44s. or 8.25s.

Went to the Hayward pick your part and saw an XJ with a OEM swing out tire rack. Also a '77 ford bronco with the axles under it 44/9. The nine was just a housing, somebody got the shafts and 3rd member. 44 was complete and has the weld on wedges for those of you who want to go full width. Also quite a few explorers with the 8.8 rear

The PnP on Commercial St. in San Jose has a couple of class 3 hitches: DrawTite and Uhaul brands - only $15 each on half price weekend. There were no XJ Dana 44's although we did pull an 8.8 with disks from a '97 Explorer for under $100 including core charge.

At the pyp in hayward there is a v8 zj with the front coils & steering and a wj with its front lcas. also a 96+ that had most of the body.

Okay so Dave pointed me in the right direction there are three newer stlye cherokkees at the San Jose Pick and pull. first one I located was a pearl red sport charcoal grey interior light grey headliner with sound bar. drivers rear door damage. The second 10/98 which means its a 99 white charcoal grey interior light grey headliner with sound bar but some what dirty bodys straight. the third is a 1998 classic forrest green with tan interior pretty dirty interior. and has had some new body parts installed one the front other wise straight. This is the pick and pull on commercial street. The are all pretty complete as of Sunday the 11 of Oct . I know how hard it is to find parts for the newer style cherokee I am looking all the time. So here you go fellas have at it. And just to let you know they are scatered they are not in the correct spots so your going to need to search..
