Where are people getting the tires that are on this thing? I have seen a few prerunner type trucks here in Corona with similar tread patterns and BFG logo's. I have checked BFG's site and they have nothing like it. This guy claims they are Toyos. Are they just recaps or something?

They are "race" tires... take offs from a race team... probably not D.O.T. approved.

Usually a different compound or different materials in the tires carcass... odd tread cuts... short course or desert grooving...

Grimm is right, they're short course race tires. And they're TERRIBLE for anything other than short course. They're loud and wear quickly on the street, do terrible in the desert, and crawl for shit. They do however hook like a mother f*cker on clay.
