The new Forsale forum rules SUCK!

The follow rules have been voted on by the BoD. Any violations of the rules will result in disciplinary action as stated in the Forum Rules. Below is what we have seen as the problems in the For Sale forum:

*Users continually and selfishly "bumping" their own ads to the head of the page
*Users bad-mouthing another person's product, even when they have no role or interest in the transaction
*Users engaging in lengthy technical discussions that are best conducted in other forums
*Users engaging in name-calling, threats, etc. (we've all seen it) in response to ads placed by sellers they're not happy with.

Due to these problems the following rules will be enforced as of 12/1/04.
1. No bumping, btt, ttt, etc. will be allowed in the forum. Multiple listing threads will be able to be updated with items sold, but all business must be done back channel.
2. PM’d ya, Emailed ya, How much shipped to…, Put me in line for…, etc. will be deleted from threads. The seller knows you PM’d them, if they are interested in your money, they will contact you.
3. We ask that the state the items are being shipped/sold from be in the title of the thread, the body of the post or in the sellers profile. If the seller wants your money, they will have the information for you to make an informed decision.
4. Direct replies to classified ads are not, and will not be allowed. You may ask questions of the seller via PM or e-mail. You may ask questions of each other in the other forums on this site. But you may not interfere with anyone else's right to do business on this site.

Note to buyers:
Please use common sense when purchasing items from third parties. is not responsible for sales, purchases or refunds. Use PayPal, Western Union or another traceable cash transfer. When items are being shipped, ask for tracking numbers.

Buyers replying to the seller with a question should be allowed, it adds more detail to the sale. Bumping your post... who cares, you can search if what your looking for is not on page one! If the post if bumped you know its still forsale.

Using PMs and emails only for replying to sales, is stupid. A seller now will have to check multiple locations to see if anyone is intrested, if its all kept publically in the forum only one location needs to be checked by both seller and buyer. The forum also helps keep a first come first serve time line. Emails and PM(borad names) could easily get confused cause they are usually very different. Youll get some excited buyer sending you a PM and an email at the same time? is this two guys or one? who was first?

Stupid rules.

You know...there is a funny thing now...you can PM him back. No, really, you can. It takes all of about 2 seconds. You could have PM'd him back in less time than you put into thinking that post up, then typing it out. If you're looking for sympathy, it's in the dicitionary between $hit and syphilis...
