Performance accord?
Accord coupe 3.5L V6 6spd. Racecar

Summer tires/wheels and winter tires/wheels> All seasons.

Yep, but I didn't want to deal with summer tires/wheel and winter tires/wheels. I've never had them so I don't know what I'm missing. I have a winter vehicle anyways.

The rear summer tires on mine (Conti Extreme Contact DWS) in 255/35ZR18 are $180 each on tire rack right now. Over $200 for a tire on a Civic is insane.

And I agree, Boston is the worst out of anywhere I've been in New England, NY, or NJ in the past two months. Some of the side roads in Brighton that were bad in the summer are destroyed right now.
Mine are 235/45R18 for size. Decent size tire.

Ya agreed on Boston and Brighton. Watertown is terrible.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Michelin and Goodyears are overpriced and overrated IMHO.

you can get UHP all season generals for cheap..
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=G-MAX+AS-03

And they are pretty good tires.

My boss at the last job had Michelins on his gas chevy 2500hd from when it was new to 120k miles. He switched to generals from 120k to 121k. from 121k on he was back on Michelins.

michelin car tires and michelin truck tires are different, but i still think they are both overpriced.

generals definetly love to vaporize, co worker went through a set is his f150 and the only truck stuff he does with it is tow snowmobiles

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Bruh so not racecar move.
to finish first you must first finish, maybe Marky Mark needs to take driving lessons from Danica, they both have the same track record

Nope, wouldn't clear brakes. And I love the rims on there now, I definitely wouldn't downsize them.

Something something cake and eating it too.

Smaller wheel & larger tire means less of a chance of tire damage from pot holes.

More cushion for the pushin'?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

So we went to today to a Jeep dealer nearby and Kate is basically in love with the WK2, go figure

Sucks that even the base models are like $30k.

I just can't bring myself to look at the new Cherokees even though they're like $5k cheaper. I've read a few horror stories on the 9 spds and I don't like that whole FWD/AWD crap.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

2 cent comment from the outsider. Oddly enough, our roads aren't terrible "yet", but I expect that when we get into the freeze/thaw season (we're getting a heat wave net week - highs in the 30s), that the potholes will rise from the dead.

I have 225/50R17 for dedicated winter tires. LOVE the dedicated winter on my Speed6. AWD, winter tires, almost unstoppable. I need to get dedicated winter rubber for my wife's Mazda2. The damn thing can barely get out of our level driveway with the All season junk.

Yeah, like we talked about Angel wants one of those or the new Explorer. Problem is you can't touch one with leather (dog hair) fo any reasonable sane amount. But hey, they will offer you 84 or 96 month financing!

Send that heat wave down here. We could use some days in the 30s.

Angel's AWD Fusion was like that when we got it because it had some of the cheapest tires around on it. We put on Pirelli CINTURATO P7™ ALL SEASON PLUS and they have been great. Pretty much a go until the snow is at bumper level.

Bwhahahaha.

Did you talk financing at all? I know the deals for them are pretty good by me, don't know if it's the same where you are. Wouldn't be too bad to get a used one off a lease.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I know, there goes my JK idea . I will say that 3.6 has a pretty good amount of power and that new 8 spd actually shifts really well. The ride on those things is insane. I forgot how horrible 2500 trucks ride.

Yeah I think we might try for a used one with like 10-15k miles on it. Those seem to be in the low to mid $20k range.

I haven't read of any known issues with the 5spd auto in the 2011/2012s.

Anything we should stay away from?

I've heard of some issues with the quadra lift air suspension, but we wouldn't be looking at limited/overlands anyway.
