In further reading, that's probably not what it came with originally. The motor in that story had been retrofitted to a MoTec computer so they probably reached the same conclusion I did when needing an ignition source...and the one in the dyno video has some kinda weird thing that sorta looks like ignition coils hanging above it.

I have never thought about flat-plane V8's, ever, and then came across two badass ones yesterday - that LPM and the new GT350 Mustang. Of course the latter has Tim @ LII already researching to see what's different between that one and the 5.0.

He's doing cams in his over the next two months; he wants to inspect the cylinders anyway so it's not much more work. That'll be pretty nasty for next year...

I haven't read up on the new GT350. Sounds like it could be pretty sweet.

I can't imagine any more power in that car. That's incredible.

Do you know if he plans on another tuning session at RC with Wayne next year? I'd like to try and make it down for that.

Picking up a 225 lincoln stick welder for $75 should be a small step up from my 110v for welding suspension stuff.

I would think that root and cap passes with a 110v buzzbox would be a more aesthetically pleasing than boogering brackets on things with a stick welder.

I haven't used my $50 tombstone in 3 years, and even then it was only to practice and learn how to stick weld. They're good to have but I'll be surprised if it becomes your main welder.

Fired up the stove for the first time this year. I forgot how effective this thing is...aside from making my living room nearly uninhabitable, it brought the ground-floor temperature up by 13 degrees in less than an hour.

I wanted to get a good burn going to clear out the chimney and get the firebox hot (takes a while for the warmth to make its way out to the heat exchanger) but looks like it's gonna settle in nicely for a while.

No, my flickr app updated, and it doesn't fit on my phone screen anymore. I just thought I was adjusting the color but I guess it was adding that shit too.

Getting the septic pumped today. So glad I'm not home for that.

Trimming the hallway and replacing the two interior doors as well, and then finish painting the white for the stairs and I should finally be done with that area.

Then it's back to my uncles car so I can get that thing out of here.

BMW is at a specialist today getting a thorough post-purchase inspection (I know, I did that wrong). Can't wait to see the estimate they come up with.

damn straight you did it wrong, you are never suppose to get a car inspected just because you bought it. will let you know it is a piece of trash at the worst possible time

Actually it isn't "that bad" if your system is working correct.
It is also nice to be home to be able to see the tank and make sure there isn't any obvious issues.
