THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My neighbor had to do this a while ago, forget why. Some really dumb reason he was pretty pissed about.

He did a beautiful job restoring the thing though.

What kind of tractor? I've always dreaded that job.

Also, where are the pictures of that B model?!?!

Ah the tractor is a 69 Case 730. I think it's like 56 hp.

I have a few other old tractors but this is the first one I've had to split.

Sorry still no chopped b model pics

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Man that Case is beautiful. We have a '69 Massey 180, but it's not in nearly as nice shape. That B model looks like it's going to be badass too

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

guess who just looked up under his jeep and discovered a cracked bellhousing?

I have the worst luck with ax15/4.0 bellhousings ever. This is the second time this has happened and I even followed the torque specs this time.

$%%$##!#$&!!!!!!!!

Guess I am pulling an ax15 at the junkyard in the rain shortly.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

advance adapters 93-95 nv4500 to gen 3 gm engine bellhousing kits come with standard bolts and an old school pilot bearing. and advance adapters 96+ nv4500 to gen 3 gm engine bellhousing kits come with metric bolts and gen 3 gm pilot bearing.

makes no sense.

Figured out why the truck was smoking alot on startup yesterday, there be a little play in the turbo impeller, suppose I should add turbo rebuild on my to do list.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

bought my RS Diff covers today, and I pieced together a RE 3.5 lift. I have all the brake lines already, I can use the rear shocks I bought from pat as front shocks. pretty cheap so far. and good chance it will be ready for NacFest. and have a wheel-able rig for less than 800$ I super excited to go from expensive trash to cheap trash.

long term Id like to buy the clayton 3 link Xmember(300$) and make my own links(20$), do stiffeners(140), re-locators(140), and gears/lockers(?).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You guys know what are lame? Jeeps. All of them, lifted, stock, whatever, they all suck. Good thing I just bought more dirtbike parts instead of the shit my Jeep needs. Phew, that was a close one.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I removed a seat and drilled a hole in the floor for more random cage tubing. That was it

I've still got red jeeps ax-15 sitting in my garage if you want to save yourself the effort of pulling one

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Do you even motor/tranny mount bro?!
brand new mounts in feb/march when I did the swap. All three done. I'm not sure that would cause a bellhousing to break... debating making a mid mount crossmember that grabs the bell/back of the engine because I'm tired of this happening.

Could just be old stressed bellhousings, but I don't want to worry about it.

Already got one, went to a junkyard that's open sundays and had one ripped out of a red 96 2 door in 45 minutes from putting my tools down to dragging the trans out :greensmok thanks though.

I'm gonna slap the bellhousing in tomorrow night after work. It isn't broken all the way across yet and I drove the MJ for like 3 weeks with a busted bellhousing before I realized what was wrong, so if I baby it it should be fine. Famous last words.
