Man, you're right! I should totally have just built the same thing everyone else has. Then I wouldn't be wasting all this time in teleconferences, design review, and sponsorship coordination with RCV, CTM, Spidertrax, Eaton, Holley, TrailGear, BTR, Toyo...back to the junkyard and the days of trailrig bullshit I go!

RCV came to the table with a 6+ month backlog on manufacturing the female slip spline for the front axle. I've gone higher up the food chain there but some people are on vacation so I probably won't know anything from them until a week or so.

Until I have that figured out, I can't do any of the outer stuff. Including cutting & turning the beams. And until I do that, I can't do the shock mounts, which also means I can't do the chassis side of things up front yet either. We're also waiting to see if it'll take the same C-clip as stock, because then I have to get back with Eaton to see if that'll work in their locker design, and if it doesn't, I need to take that info back to the axle manufacturer and work out something else.

Next step is to hear back from CTM, who has done the slip spline for Dana 60 size joints before, but not 44.

There's way more than all that going on that I don't feel like typing, but just because it's not on the Internet doesn't mean I'm not 'working' on it.

I had years of getting my balls busted for taking long to build so just keeping up with tradition. Def sound lime a lot of cool stuff should be interesting when done.

also I think I may have warped my rotors on my fiesta. Im starting to get a good shimmy on breaking. what has me stumped is it doesent always do it. but most of the time it does. so Im looking at new rotors.

what I find really weird is it looks like my rotors are wearing as fast or faster than my pads. im at 42K on my original brakes. and I still have>25% left but I can see that the rotors are quite a bit thinner then they used to be by the ridge on the rim.

edit never mind the company is just full of shit and sells a universal cage and says it is made for what ever car you say you have.
