THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Personal experience.....I ran a set of kumho excsta 712's on my Nissan pickup...ran in autocrosses and street...a lot...they were great in warm weather (hello, Korean made), below 55 degrees they were hard as a rock and frankly scary on even dry pavement...look closely at how small the contact patch between your tires and the road actually are....tires are one area that I will never skimpy on, ftw. Your life is not worth saving a hundred bucks..I can't stand it when people chime in recommending cheap tires.

I stand by my cheapo Solus's. As long as they wear half as well as a tire twice their price, I'm happy. I always check reviews too, and as long as they don't dramatically suck I go for it. I do draw a line somewhere.

Talking about a truck, suv, or wheeler, then hell yes I want the best and will heavily weigh my options.

I hate Michelin passenger tires. Almost as bad as Goodyear... Overpriced average junk.

Michelin and Goodyear are two brands I almost never sell (at the repair shop). Nobody wants to spend the money. I will say I know a few people who swear by the michelins though (they have come factory on chevy trucks for years) As soon as they put a new set of other brand tires on they wish they went with michelins again. Road noise, handling, ride, etc all changed for the worse.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Firestone Winterforce are priced well and work just dandy.

Absolutely love these. I have em on the red crapcan... with studs because its NVH qualities are already "yes, yes, and yes" so I might as well go all out.

Oh and they are cheap as shit.

My dipshit neighbor (the one downhill from me on the dirt road) blocked me in this morning (again) by parking like a retard, after demanding that I keep the road we share open for him last winter by not even parking on the side of it. This after clearly getting stuck in it yesterday, I saw the wheelspin marks all over the place. I warned him that I really need to be able to drive downhill during the winter because I have a job and going uphill doesn't work, as he already knows.

So I drove down towards his place anyways, then put it in reverse and tried to back up. I think my exhaust woke him up, maybe he'll get the ****ing point and not block a public right of way that he's asked me not to block. Idiot.

When he's not being a stupid douche he's a decent dude but this really isn't cool.

Am I being a dick by doing this? Probably, but it cuts both ways and he basically wants everything himself with nothing for me.

Michelin makes great less aggressive than an all terrain LT tires. The 225 XCX/APTs on my 93s rocked.

That's actually a year I already have, but toss it on ebay for like 50 bucks OBO and someone will probably toss you at least 30 for it. That's around what I paid for mine.
