THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

youre not gonna need to recharge those shocks after pulling the hose off?

It's gonna need to have the whole sealhead, shaft, and piston removed...IFP depth checked & reset (although there's a shortcut for doing this)...bleed the new hose & reassemble the sealhead etc. Charging is the least of the problems, although we've got that covered anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You COULD just put a stock motor in it and take the tuner off.

Already sold the tuner, but it wouldn't make much difference- It needs a clutch anyways, and a stock replacement is close to a grand. If I'm going to bother keeping the thing I don't feel like halfassing things...

That $5100 is for a JY motor or new unit?

reman long block with ARP head studs and LBZ rods, 4yr/40k warranty

I think that's a much smarter plan dude, better to pay a little more now than a lot more later if/when the JY motor blows.

Thanks again for the trailer dude, it'll make this trip so much more fun without the stress of wondering how we'll get home.

I'm off to start packing, I have so much shit to do before we leave...

Yeah. Sucks to take a loan out but at least it'll be a new long block and I won't need to worry as much about it.

No problemo, hope it treats you well :)

**** you guys and **** nac fest, so not happy about not going, atleast ill salvage my vaca on sunday

Last year I was a bit disappointed about not going, but this year I can't say I really care  It'd be cool to go obviously but oh well. Gotta spend the monies elsewhere...

How the hell is a stock clutch close to a grand?!

My stock clutch was $200??

And yes Ken I still have the 231 stuff in the back of my truck, no biggie.

At a bare minimum, tuner or not, I'm not putting another dual mass flywheel in it. I despise them on principle so that's that

Cause Racetruck

and this...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Do the dual mass flywheels fail often or something?

I don't get why you would want to change it from stock if it's not a problem.

Other than wanting it to hold more power.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have over 270k on my original factory clutch now, and it still works just as well as it did when I got the thing 6 years ago.

I have no intentions of putting anything different back into it.
