THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yukon shafts suck. Had an ear break off when I was installing damn u joint. The next shaft broke first wheeling run IN MUD.

The dude on here that sells them says Yukon are the best and nitro are junk. But both my yukons lasted less than 1/4 of wheeling run and both of my nitros lasted 3 years with harder wheeling and I even sold them and some dude in Texas is now running them.

These were 19 spline 44 outers from east coast gear supply.

Me. But I have no idea what the **** that thing is or what I'd be looking for. I can go there and tell you it looks cool if you want. :dunno:

I'll call the guy soon, just bought a cheap plasma cutter I'll see if I have enough.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Those Nitro's look like a decent deal, hopefully they'll mix and match Waggy/Ford for me. I emailed them asking about it before I bought the Yukons from Randy's and then never got back to me.

Call chase at east coast gear supply. He will sell the shafts on their own or by the set. When I cracked A Moser ear I even asked if he can get one j10 width. He said no but the older ford 44 long shaft would work with .75" trimmed off and he would still honor the warranty if needed. He even offered to cut it for me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I thought the USA standards came with a one year warranty? Mine did

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Considering going with RCV's in the 44. I plan to run these axles on 35's to 37's for a while, and I'm going to go to an ARB eventually. How stupid do you guys think that is? Consider that it's ~$400 to replace the one that's broken now, and will be pretty close to that to do the driver's side when it breaks, which will bring me well past half of what the RCV's are, and obviously won't hold up. RCV's also get me upgraded hub internals, which should 'eliminate' another weak link.

I know what you're going to say, go 60's it's cheaper and stronger, but I'd really like to keep whatever I wheel street legal, and like I said, I don't plan on anything more than 37's with these axles. If I went bigger, it would be on tons and a trailer queen, but I would keep these axles in a streetable rig.

RCVs would be a waste, IMO. I got both my ten factory shafts for like $400 from the vendor rubicon tested on Pirate. Ive had no issues with them, ive broken 2 mile marker hubs, i switched to warns, and ive had no issues.

Instead of buying RCVs why dont you just learn how to wheel?

They will, east coast gear supply sold me a set- F250 inners and chevy outers.
I broke 1down nitro outer, but I was being stupid with my rediculously heavy pitbulls

Jordan (mrsimon) broke a nitro shaft down by the splines. They wouldent warenty it. I forget the deets. But i thought id throw it out there. He doesent wheel that hard either.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Pat don't waste your money on d4 rcv's seen to many of them break, ask travis about the setup he had in his 44 it was pretty badass

My setup was, in a word, toodamnmuchmoney. :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

shut up Pat, buy this d50 im getting from Bump and build a hybrid. just buy a 35 spline spool or something and run stock shafts. actually now that I think about it, 50's use a 30 or 31 spline inners and might go right into your lunchbox locker. or have the shafts cut and respline to fit anyways. instant 1ton outers for not alot of money. could probably sell your 44 stuff and cover most of the costs.

no need for that shit Pat, all you need is a decent set of shafts that aint yukon crap, Wheelin>building

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Agreed. Like I said my stock shafts would last about 6 months at a time wheeling at least once a month. I never blew up a 760 either, just eventually stretched the ears and blew the yokes off.

Fixed my bender last night. Just made an "H" piece if that makes sense to form a nice new bridge for the hole the pin slides through. Haven't tested it yet but the pin has support all the way through like it should now.

New flange comes in tonight but I'm gonna hang out with some tards at my son's house. Hopefully have the O2 sensor/exhaust BS fixed on Saturday and the stupid leaky dipstick.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh Rob, forgot to text you back.

I can bring up those seals when I go to Pano's one night next week to meet up with Travis/Scott.

I have to trade shocks, pick up my trailer spare, and I can get you those seals if you want to meet us there.

What day works for you guys? Wed or Thurs good?
