My SHO motor has a small water-to-oil intercooler at the base of the oil filter. Guys that track those cars say it's adequate enough to keep the oil temps manageable with a stock output motor as long as the cooling system is functioning well and can handle the extra heat input. Guess I'll find out...I'll let you be the guinea pig on this one. :D

I bet the water-oil cooler helps a bunch if you've got a good cooling system. My water temps were only at about 190º when the oil was hitting 260º.

I test-fired 2 rounds through the .22 in my backyard, and everything cycles OK...I didn't strip it down entirely yet but I pulled the bolt out and put a light coat of oil on it. The feed ramp is all kinds of cruddy and feels like crap if you manually cycle the action, but it's got enough spring pressure to get through it in semi-auto.

The 12 ga. looked pretty decent inside...I'm waiting to find out if the (indoor) range I'm going to allows slugs. If they do I'll crank that ol' C-lect choke up to cylindrical and let it fly. :D

Something's definitely buried in that black powder rifle, the passage between the barrel and the percussion cap is completely blocked solid. :laugh: For all I know there could be a ball stuck down in there. I tried unscrewing the back of the barrel to take a look but it didn't wanna budge, so I set that one aside for another day.

If youre actually serious Pat, let me know and maybe we can work out a deal. I got a kid in CT that wants them but Id rather sell them locally/to someone I like better.
