I bet the water-oil cooler helps a bunch if you've got a good cooling system. My water temps were only at about 190º when the oil was hitting 260º.

My SHO motor has a small water-to-oil intercooler at the base of the oil filter. Guys that track those cars say it's adequate enough to keep the oil temps manageable with a stock output motor as long as the cooling system is functioning well and can handle the extra heat input. Guess I'll find out...I'll let you be the guinea pig on this one.![]()
