Let's see...

Clutch at 130k
Bad fan clutch that I didn't catch took out my radiator
Burnout while towing split my trans mount and took out my radiator and fractured the 5th gear housing(both of these i consider flukes)
Heater core at 160k
Gone through 3 wheel bearings
One set of ball joints lasted me 80k
Rear driveshaft ujoints
I got 50k out of my last clutch master setup.
Cam sensor

I haven't touched any of the accesories, brake lines, motor mounts, steering linkage, tcase shit, etc. I dont count batteries, tires, brakes, or exhaust. And that "lame injection pump" has over 90k on it with absolutely no issues and I've driven it home on 0 fuel pressure from the lift pump and ran it out of fuel twice.

I did upgrade the track bar, steering box brace, and add a FASS lift pump.

I bought it at 86k and I'm now at 173k. Truck has been damn good to me for how much I drive and abuse it.

Yup I checked the valve lash at 150k due to everyone saying "OMG YOU HAVE TO"

Good thing I just checked it and didn't adjust anything. Every valve was dead on :laugh:

Things are falling into place for me to build a toter home. That may be my new tow rig, and its a big enough truck that it will handle a good sized trailer.

Yup I checked the valve lash at 150k due to everyone saying "OMG YOU HAVE TO"

Good thing I just checked it and didn't adjust anything. Every valve was dead on :laugh:

mine were fine at 178k when I changed valve springs and valve cover gaskets. I think only one was a couple thousands loose so I tightened it just to say I did something.

ME and my dad have done this 2 times havent had to do any thing to it.
Also 350HP and 750 torque are nice!

jesus, you've had the worst luck with radiators being wrecked by everything else.

Yeah I'd love to turn mine up, but its hard to justify the money.

I really don't want to **** with whatever I get. A full set of gauges would be nice, and maybe an exhaust if/when it NEEDS it, and a nice set of BFG's when it needs tires. Besides that I just want something nice to drive.

i stumbled upon some links when reading on 6.0 lq9 stuff.


word on the street is they can take up to 8 psi of boost on stock internals.

**** me


the 5.3's run close to 600 rwhp boosted reliably


of course this is all internet speak and they are just numbers.

My shits already got that shit, I trade you it for a set of new 42" rockers

8psi with stock internals sounds wicked low

Reliably. Ive read some higher figures, but its the internet, i mean we have people who say 10mm bolts are perfectly fine for 3 links.
