STUFF

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Went hunting again yesterday... more like walking around the woods with a gun. You have to come home with meat to call it hunting.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nice. NOW REPLY TO YOUR PM!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Found some schematics for the injector driver circuit/flyback dampening.

I'm gonna test it out tonight with my shitty multimeter.

Hopefully just a resistor or two or something.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ARE YOU KIDDING ME

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and Ken it's an IXDI404PI MOSFET driver.

Hopefully that's not what burned out, but who knows.

Could be the driver, a transistor or two, a resistor or two.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I TOLD you it was fixable! :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I never said it wasn't, just that I wasn't sure what needed to be fixed at the time.

I just found some schematics for it.

Hopefully it's just a resistor or two and I can have it back up and running for the weekend.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

psh we totally could have taken care of it. but you just wanted to break my jeep. don't blame ya I guess

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

got the camera goin like crazy I assume?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

eerie.

saw some aerial video of misquamicut ri. pretty much everything on the shore got wiped out, and even some villages went underwater.

Pretty unreal how we got almost nothin up my way, but complete devastation less than an hour away

Wtf! Those are MOSFET/IGBT gate drivers, they are designed to drive capacitive loads not inductive ones. I bet back EMI is kicking the shit out of them. Try using a back-EMI snubber diode, connect the cathode to the more positive injector terminal and the anode to the more negative one. I would use a schottky type if possible, I have a handful of 1N5817s around here if you want some for testing.

Is it being used as a low side switch? You may need to substitute something like a VNQ5050K-E that is, you know, actually designed for the intended application. Unless the chip you listed is being used to drive the injector driver MOSFET's gate, which is what they are intended for, then I would suggest upgrading the MOSFET and maybe trying a snubber diode as well.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Looks like they already have diodes to prevent any kickback? Yes it's being used as a low side switch.

Schematic

Its not like it didn't work to begin with, it was me miswiring it that led to it's demise
