THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

XXXX you guys, I fixed things yesterday and drove 4 of my vehicles, can you say that? ..!..:D..!..

will probably work on the blue MJ some more tomorrow morning before heading down to work.

I bought a set of taps and got pissd drunk, and had buff chicken pizza, and passed out while my wife yelled at me...then my son threw up for 6 hours

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you are a poon and have a garage tent that cost twice what mine did :moon: And the jeep I'm working on won't move and isn't in the tent.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

says the guy with as many jeeps as me, but fewer of them moving...

I think it was more like '86 than '09 anyways.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i did my first axle swaps on a sheet of ice at like 20 degrees. with that said i havent worked on a jeep if it was under 40 degrees since. unless it was my only ride and i absolutely had to get it going.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nice looking MJ. I'm still hoping my buddy finds the title for his. If he does I've decided I'm definitely buying that thing and swapping my lift/tires/etc over onto it.

That's how I did brake lines when mine blew out at college. Less of a sheet of ice and more of a slushy puddle of rock-salt melted snow though.

Thanks again for the engine Colin.

Travis, what year XJ was that engine out of? Trying to order a gasket kit and need to make sure the one I'm looking at will work.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If it was my only ride I'd be fixing it right now obviously, but I have the 5 ton (sorta fixed), the white MJ (seems to have a high voltage issue with the new alternator installed, not sure what's up with that), and the red XJ (piece of shit but will go forever) to haul my dumb ass around, so I'll wait for a warm day.

Scene from Saw...?

Hell no, thats where Ken showers!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

only till I figure out how to get the actual bathroom finished. Not sure if I'm going to finish it and claim it was like that when I bought it, or tear the drywall back out so they can inspect everything... 50 bucks of drywall won't kill me if I have to do that.

Building inspectors and laws regarding them can lick my taint. Building my next house in an unincorporated area so I don't have to worry about this crap as much, and building it from scratch. I've already learned a lot, including that doing framing and foundation work is nowhere near as hard as I thought it was.

It comforts me to know you're driving around in a 5 ton monster that is atleast sort of fixed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

don't worry. The brakes work so well it will put you through the windshield, and the steering is rock solid.

The "go" part isn't in that great shape though :banghead:

Oh well, at least that just means it will stop going by itself if it fails, rather than running over schoolbuses full of nuns.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You're the one who was in a one piece jump suit when I met you, Sally.:spin3:

I wear mine all the time.

INCORRECT. My pants were just the same color as my jacket, I lost my one piece last winter. I need to get another one, they make working outside soooo nice.

I'm telling you Ken, just make some sort of recycling system that catches all the oil it leaks, and puts it back into the fuel tank. Then carry around a 55 gallon drum of oil that constantly pumps into the engine. Boom, problem solved.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the head gasket leak and bottom end knock are getting pretty loud:fuse:

it's basically a ticking time bomb. I am going to have the heads milled this time and use the new style gaskets that aren't known for blowing up if you look at them funny, and then start shopping for a new motor.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why don't you knock down the wall on the porch and turn that room into a three jeep garage, problem solved
You're welcome
