I know if you take the ecu and harness from a 98 ram of some sort it talks ccd bus just like the xj, so you just do a 97+ dash swap and the instrument cluster instantly works. Shelbyluv, terrawombat, and bloose have all verified this on their builds, I was pretty sure it would work and then they went and did it before I could get off my ass.

I need to find out if a 98 zj is ccd bus still or changed to pci bus already. Chris, you have one right? Thoughts?

my plan was some sort of OBD1 dodge ecu and run autometer gauges

Do you really want to risk it because "there are many options, she's probably not using that one"?

hmm. If you have a single wire going to the overhead console or IP and it's yellow/violet or white/violet then it's PCI bus. If you have two wires in a twisted pair and they are violet/brown and white/black then it is CCD bus.

No reason to go tearing your dash apart obviously, but if you have the 98 ZJ FSM and have a sec to look it'd be awesome. Otherwise I'll probably spend some time searching the innerwebs and see if I can find out myself.

i just read the news from the interweb..

they packaged them wrong. you can obv see the difference between the real pills and the sugar pills you take during the period. not like they realized, "OH SHIT ERRBODY GETTIN PREGNINT"

How much does an XJ shell weigh? Trying to figure out how much I could get from a scrap yard for it.
