I'm startin to like this AMC Eagle thing.

XJ rear axles are nearly a direct bolt-in, just gotta relocate one shock mount. A 4.0 is pretty much a physical bolt-in and even has mounting bosses for the front diff. A 242 transfer case will swap right on, and you can use the rear half of the stock 119 case to keep the fixed yoke.

I think it'd be pretty badass to get an SX/4 and drop my stroker into it with an AX15 or something, 242 case, and D44 rear.

He works during the day, Extreme Axle is just a side thing he does out of his house.

yup. ive had pretty much the exact same gameplan for years. just never found a suitable sx4

So you guys saw my transcriptions from weird train dude the other day.

Today at the station was conspiracy dude. Err, make that 'alternative theory' dude.

He mentioned something in passing about Herman Cain stepping down, and i agreed noncommitally from two seats down. Next thing i know, the floodgate opens and this guy covers everything from ccurrent candidates being blackmailed, Ron Paul, Jesse Ventura, the TSA, 9/11, Nixon, LBJ, Kennedy, and the Jewish slave trade in the space of 15 minutes.

I'm usually pretty good with going along with that kinda stuff just to pass the time, but i made it way worse for myself today. Everytime i thought i knew where he was going and tried to make a comment, i was wrong and he made a left turn onto some other tangent to explain his last point.

I've seen this guy around on Fridays before...guess i'll have to do some research this week so i can hang better next time. I'm sure i've earned myself a friend for next week. :laugh:

my shitbox now has a complete exhaust, just gott pull it all and weld it ups, question for colin/chris/bill or even anyone, you guys bother spraying your welds with any paint or coating or just let stuff rust?

Stainless tubing and stainless MIG wire dude!!! No painting required.

Ive also decide to try to build my own muffler outta some sheetmetal. I tried fitting the cherry bomb turbo in there, but idealy I need the body to be offest on the inlet/outlet to get better packaging underneth.

Not offset side-to-side, offset top-to-bottom. Idealy, the inlet/outlet tubing is flush with the top of the muffler body. The cherry bomb, and any other regular muffler, has like 3/4-1" of hieght above the top of the tubing.

if I don't happen to have stainless MIG wire when I do my exhaust I'll just let it rust. By the time it actually rusts through I will have introduced it to enough rocks that it will need replacement anyways.

EDIT: Bill, you doing copper or PEX in your house? Radiant heat or what? If you are doing PEX tubing for anything, I have the tool for crimping the copper sleeves on and the go/nogo gauge, if you want to borrow it instead of paying 50+ dollars for it, you're more than welcome to. Just picked it up to do my radiant heating upstairs.
