THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark, angle grinder on the pitman arm puller? I'd suggest giving the vendor crap about that cardboard in your paint, that is INEXCUSABLE.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

21 year old steering box spacer, in tact. Its for sale: $1,000.

Dammit! I was gonna try and sell my 17-year-old one!

At this point I have to ask... what is this wizard staff you guys are talking about? The only thing I can think of involves beer and ducktape but I'm not sure how accurate that is...

Yes. Drink a beer, and tape your next one to the top of it. Repeat ad nauseum.

This was attempted at NACfest but proved to be impractical while also attempting to play guitar, so we quit trying after about 6 or so. Given the quiet hours and stuff this will probably join the kegs as an activity to be only remembered.

Would probably be a good one for the next Fall Crawl however. :D

Not mine, I rented it. But I had to drive a few towns over to get it since the autozone in my town didn't have any. I then had to go out and rent one from advanced auto that just moved into town. (wish I had gone there first, completely forgot about them until I went to sears to see if they had any to buy)

How's the snow bitches? I got to take advantage of my heated wiper fluid this morning
My Jeep was effing frozen this morning. I couldn't get into it at first, and the windows were solid ice.

Slippy roads equal rolled over cement truck on route one in front of my house.

Heard about that on the radio, thought it was near you.

I think they round it over like that to give you a spot to bang on while pulling to try and knock it loose.

I've unscrewed it all the way before and dropped it through the box end of a combo wrench, then put it back together.

Taylor ham

blueclaws-pork-roll-race.jpg

Not Taylor ham. That's like saying Xerox or Kleenex.

Pork roll is the generic term and should be used when referring to products similar to, but not manufactured by, Taylor Provisions of Trenton, NJ.

This sandwich, while still delicious, is not authenthic Taylor ham.

Matter of fact, it shouldn't even be called ham:

Taylor originally called his product "Taylor's Prepared Ham", but was forced to change the name after the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 was passed, since the product did not meet the new legal definition of "ham". The new name was "Pork Roll" and it was marketed as both "Taylor's Pork Roll" and "Trenton Pork Roll". Competitors marketed products with similar names like "Rolled Pork" and "Trenton style Pork Roll" and were sued by Taylor. A 1910 legal case ruled that the words "Pork Roll" could not be trademarked.

Ya, that was the only 17mm wrench I had (no idea where the other went) that wasn't a gear wrench kind of stopped me there. The other end of that wrench was an 18mm, it wasn't a box wrench. The fact that I was using a ~3ft long pipe over it aided in its demise.

Also found out my t-stat is probably stuck open and my heat sucks. Other than the heat thing, I'm good.

Today's breakfast is a pork roll, bacon, and cheese sandwich.

No eggs. XXXX eggs.

What? Eggs are awesome. I could go for a nice omelet right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

First snow last night so naturally had to use the hot tub for the first time in awhile. Unfortunately, the no-top rule was not enforced upon its guests :(

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I seriously don't know how people work on shit up here without a torch.

I fall back on it for EVERYTHING.

I would not hesitate to get a pitman arm cherry red before pulling it.

I would obviously buy a new lower shaft seal as a precaution

Just curious, have you ever done one of those lower shaft seals?

On my list of "things I am never going to do again".

I'd rather cut the pitman arm off with a cutoff wheel and buy another one.
