THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i didnt send out the memo yet, because it isnt 100% official, but as soon as anthony gets a wheeling rig again you are the new Nac bitch

Not fair. At least I'm actively working on something new. :bawl:

This whole not-driving thing is making it hard to get started but I think this weekend I'm gonna start taking mine apart. That needs to happen before I can start the new shit.

here is what is causing mah issues

axle arap= I HAVE LEAF SPRINGS SO OF COURSE I HAVE SOME FAWKIN AXLE WRAP

loosey steering= cracked frame and its 5 years old with like 100k miles of beating the crap out of it. so tie rod ends are probably on thier way out.

rebound= adam sucks and told me to get that rebound

Traction bar

New TREs

Revalve shocks

Probably get out of all of that for under $400.

It's also probably not worth doing for $400, obviously it works fine the way it is. It's just easier to be an armchair wheeler when your own junk is sitting crapped out and broken down. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So Jeep woes, looking for advice where to start:

going straight down a fairly pot-hole/crack filled road the Jeep drove smooth up to about 47 or 48mph (per my GPS) and then from 48-53 it had reasonably bad wobble in the steering, Jeep was easily controllable but the vibe/wobble was definitely noticeable. Got it up to 55 and it seemed like it was getting better as speed increased but I caught up to the car in front of me at that point so I couldn't really check beyond there.

Got onto a 2nd long straight which was had a much smoother road surface. Accelerated smooth up to 60mph while going around a very slight left hand turn, smooth as silk, no vibes at all. Got to the straight after the corner and it still felt good. Started decelerating around a right hand turn and as I got down into the 53-55mph range while turning right I got the wobble back worse than before (still controllable so I'm not sure I'd call it death wobble, but there was definitely something going on). I'm not sure if it didn't wobble while accelerating because I was aggressively on the throttle or because I was turning left (likewise I'm not sure if it was bad while decelerating because I was turning right or because of deceleration). I'm wondering if I took up all the slop while turning left thus no wobble and made more slop while turning right thus more wobble? idk?

Any ideas where I should start looking?

My plans are to add another 8-16 grams of BBs per tire to see if that helps along with pulling my steering and checking the knuckles/pitman arm for wallowing this weekend.

I'm also getting a very slight click as soon as I start turning in either direction but I think that's the bolt in the trackbar that's sliding < 0.5mm in the hole (hole is ever so slightly too large). I will probably fill in and re-drill that hole this weekend as well but it's not really a big deal; my old trackbar relocation bracket had a lot more play to it than this does.

He's ignoring us... sadface!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

All I want to do right now is bang out a cage and start stuffing a 440 into my MJ.

I think I'm going to upgrade the rear output on my D20 at the same time.

I've also heard of people breaking the cases along the lower opening (cause: torque) where the inspection plate lies, and making one out of .250" or thicker helps to stiffen the case.

I'm probably going to do that too.

Mid 80s to early 90s Chevy/GM 2500-3500s.

Will take a look. I might not have the time to pull anything on Saturday (other than the shit I need) but I'll at least check if there's anything there. I may be able to get back to the yard on Sunday if you want me to pull parts for ya and deliver at some meetup or something.

That would be sweet if you feel like it.

I'm not even close to being in a rush for it, so whenever is fine with me.

Lower plate for D20?

Already kits for it.

440 swap kit?

I want to be the only cool one :D

Well damn, be that way, see if I care!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright that was really weird. I was just sitting here at my computer doing work, when all of a sudden I felt a really sharp pain on my right thigh/outer ass cheek. It felt like something was biting it or stabbing it, and was sharp enough to actually make me flinch from the pain.

(I can't wait to see what people like carmelo come up wiht after posting this)

Does anyone have a voodoo doll of me by any chance?
