THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

which doesn't look too bad after your patch) Probably going to even do something similar to StumpXJ did and cut and reweld the rear wheel openings, rather than a cut and fold there.
Halo cage.
New bumpers front and rear. Honeslty debating doing another tire carrier or not.
Light bar!

i never really looked closley at it after we did the fix, and cut and weld sounds good, i gotta figure out where i need to cut mine if it wasnt for my shock hoops mine would of folded once i cut the floor out, im curently having issues with the hatch not closing right anymore

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

when is the planned stripfest, you got somthing i want

I do, and have not forgotten.

Not sure when its going to be, but my plans were to strip motor/trans/t-case, fenders, front clip (makes pulling the stuff easier and I'll need it off anyways, bumpers, most of interior, gas tank, brake lines. I'm going to leave the axles/steering hooked up so I can at least move it around for now.

Maybe in a few weeks or something, I'll let people know. I'm sure we can work something out, and I'll probably have booze/places to sleep for people.

Scissor fight!

That blows, something must have tweaked during welding in the new floors?

i think the rear settled with no floors, ill mess more with it once im moved in next week its not a priority but it will be how i fuel up my jeep once the cell is in

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just looked at a GoPro video of me wheeling Colin's MJ on the comp course. At one time the Jeep was laying on his rear driveshaft...after it looked like a candy cane. I'll try to put that video up tomorrow.

New deliciousness:

They take the stuff that soaked into the oak of the barrels and extract it somehow, and mix it back into an aged batch.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

By the time moab trip comes, ill have my class a license. Somebody loan me a rig and a large flatbed. That, or ill own my own gooseneck/bumper pull trailer big enough for two jeeps.
I should have my class A for NACfest, and the plan is to use the Mack and the stepdeck trailer from work. It fits 4 to 5 jeeps nicely

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ken clear your PM's, to finish the convo....wife and kids are gone 11th to the 21st :flame:
shit it's full again?
I'll let you know. I'm busy as hell with work right now, it's unlikely that I'll be at home a single day this week.

If you still want it, I'm sure we can work something out. I won't be swapping the interior from Bill's into it, I'll be swapping the green Jeep's since I won't be chopping that anymore. I think the carpet is a little dank smelling, but if you want it after checking it out, I won't trash it.

I've actually been thinking about posting up and having a stripping party at my place. Strip Rob's Jeep that is, none of that carmelo shit that he talks about. :D

I need to start parting Bill's Jeep out after I decide what/if I want to keep stuff. I'm thinking about keeping the engine just because, and the carpet. I'll try not to leave it at your place too long
Dank smelling is no big deal, my plan is to see if I can get it dry cleaned somewhere anyways, and if not, somehow clean it myself.

I honestly don't care how long jeeps stay in my yard, it doesn't really affect me. I mean, I guess it looks like hell, but frankly that has zero bearing on anything I do until I finish gutting and rebuilding the house, THEN I might start worrying about landscaping and such. The plan is to build some retaining walls (if anyone has a few truckloads of stone they want gone, let me know) and fill it in to be level, then redo the lawn completely, but that's at least a year out, so until then basically anything goes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

video removed

Rear axle was a sweet idea.

Chris, can you get a good idea of how to tune shocks from that video since you said "lighten up the rebound"?

It would be sweet to set a go-pro on the front axle looking back, and the rear axle looking forward so one could tune their suspension.

It rides nice so I'd say the compression is working ok.

Looks like it's getting some small air under the front tires just going over small rocks and stuff at slow-medium speed, which could be the axle not dropping back down fast enough. You usually wouldn't notice it over just a single rock or bump but when you get a few in a row, you're hitting the next one before it gets back to ride height, so you'll bottom out easier.

It'd be a useful tool but it helps to have the overall side view of the truck so you can see how much travel is being used, if the tires are getting back to ride height or not, what the difference front/back is, etc.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sitting home, not having axle wrap, with tight steering, and light rebound in the shocks.

i didnt send out the memo yet, because it isnt 100% official, but as soon as anthony gets a wheeling rig again you are the new Nac bitch

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

here is what is causing mah issues

axle arap= I HAVE LEAF SPRINGS SO OF COURSE I HAVE SOME FAWKIN AXLE WRAP

loosey steering= cracked frame and its 5 years old with like 100k miles of beating the crap out of it. so tie rod ends are probably on thier way out.

rebound= adam sucks and told me to get that rebound

Traction bar

New TREs

Revalve shocks

Probably get out of all of that for under $400.
