Scott, there are wheeling trips lined up for like the next 3 or 4 weekends straight, all in the MA/NH area.

Yeah I know and I hope to make it to at least one or two of them. I just have to figure out what the "death wobble" my buddy mention actually is (he said it has death wobble at highway speed, but it sounded more like mediocre/bad vibrations). I'm going to try and hit 65-70 tomorrow and see how she does. Hopefully it's just a bad vibe and another 8oz of BBs per tire will solve it. I'm really hoping my TRE holes weren't reamed shitty and are wallowing out already (they seemed OK when i did them but I still want to check). I know there's a bit of a dead spot in the steering but from what I read that's expected with the OTK 1-ton setup so :dunno:

Only other problem is that I need major bumpstopping and/or more lift (picking up another set of isolators from the JY on Saturday). My tie rod hits the trackbar bracket after only a few inches of up travel, but that may be fine since my tires go into the fenders anyway so bumpstopping was required either way... just a matter of how much.

If the vibes are bad (more than tire-balance issues) I'm going to order tapered inserts for the knuckles and re-do those while adding swaybar endlinks. Either way I'm going to aim to pick up a transmission on Friday or Saturday morning and will be swapping that in as soon as I have the Mustang back from the shop (I gotta make sure at least one roofed vehicle is on the road in case of rain ). Then it should have no issues hitting the highway for a couple hours to go wheeling.

I have been throwing my change in a drawer for the past 1.5-2 years. Just counted it last weekend. $325ish in full coin rolls and another $15 in half-filled rolls.

That hand crank coin counter thing I bought for $30 paid itself off big time when it took me far < 1 hour to count all that change.

I'm looking at more pictures and getting more ideas on how to build up my new Jeep (Rob's old one). Man I wish I could just snap my fingers and have it built.

Thinking about picking up some JCR guards this black friday if they have them for sale again. (I know I was thinking about this last year, but I have a little more money and it will save me a lot of time, despite the fact the tail boxes are slightly odd)

I'll be doing the same

Who wants to give me 3 grand so I can make my truck have a reasonably reliable and fuel efficient 530 RWHP? Pm me or just send a check. Kay thanks! :D

If I can get my other issues (mentioned above) figured out so that I can drive the Jeep reliably and wheel it somewhat frequently I might be doing the same as well.

Agree to a 13.5% interest rate compounded weekly and you have yourself a deal.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Transmisssions are dumb, I want direct drive with a GO/NO-GO handle.
My red jeep has this option. It's more a "won't go / barely goes" pedal though.

I still want to buy the interior out of Rob's jeep and am still willing to help you swap the interior out of Bill's jeep into it if that sweetens the deal any.

my thoughts
quarter gards sure
stiffners frt to back, if you motivated 3x3 works mint, if your lazy the hd ones look tit
rocker protection either sliders or box tube to replace the rockers(yeah the rockers are mint on that one but it makes it easier to weld in the tune)
rear tuck and fold for the lower quarters
not sure what else cept a cage

If you still want it, I'm sure we can work something out. I won't be swapping the interior from Bill's into it, I'll be swapping the green Jeep's since I won't be chopping that anymore. I think the carpet is a little dank smelling, but if you want it after checking it out, I won't trash it.

I've actually been thinking about posting up and having a stripping party at my place. Strip Rob's Jeep that is, none of that carmelo shit that he talks about. :D

I need to start parting Bill's Jeep out after I decide what/if I want to keep stuff. I'm thinking about keeping the engine just because, and the carpet. I'll try not to leave it at your place too long

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

BTW i cant wait to get back working on it, i got a hidden hitch right here in my room that i cant wait to weld to the back of the jeep, yup im welding a hitch to the back of my jeep as a tow point and theres nothing anyone can do about it cept rip it off when they pull me out

Your thoughts and my thoughts are pretty identical.

Quarter gaurds definitely, especially after seeing what happed to my green Jeep's quarters.
Absolutely stiffeners front to back. I talked to Ross about getting some steel yesterday, and I already have Ruff Stuff that I picked up real cheap when they had a good christmass sale going on.
I already have JCR sliders, but I'm thinking about doing box replacement for the reasons you mentioned, and it will give me some more street cred.
Rear quarters are definitely going to get cut out and patch welded up (especially since you know the condition of the pass rear, which doesn't look too bad after your patch) Probably going to even do something similar to StumpXJ did and cut and reweld the rear wheel openings, rather than a cut and fold there.
Halo cage.
New bumpers front and rear. Honeslty debating doing another tire carrier or not.
Light bar!
