I was sure you were going to say stuff for some axle that can't be swapped with parts from a junkyard so I didn't make fun of you when you first asked.

I put the ZJ disc swap for my MJ together for under 70 dollars and 3 hours of my time (including installation.) I am running junkyard calipers, rubber lines, pads, and rotors though.

It was so that I didn't have to go to the junkyard.

I know that Junkyard is cheaper, but this would have saved me gathering tools, going to the junkyard, grinding out the bolt patterns, etc.

I got everything for my D44 swap minus rotors for $75. And nothing you said there surprises me.

Briarwood's rear brakes don't work too well.

I would have replaced with new/rebuilt if they didn't look OK. The rotors and pads were looking great (think it'd just arrived at the junkyard) so I decided I'd run em, if they gave me trouble I'd replace.

I hear you on not wanting to go to the junkyard, I enjoy it in the spring and fall but winter and summer suck.

Even I'll say you should buy it (I think I can voice my opinion now, I have a street legal Jeep again ).

Hell, if I had a bit of time before that thing sold I'd consider selling or parting my XJ for a couple grand and buying that. The thing is sweet. I'd drive a 4 door if I had a deal like that available to me. shit.

So the Jeep got inspected today and then immediately after my buddy was leaving his house and backed into a basketball hoop breaking the drivers side tail light :doh: Oh well, JY on Saturday. At least he got the sticker before breaking it.

Edited: Steering doesn't sound crunchy, I must have been driving over shit and not paying attention. Steering just sounds a bit creaky which, as far as I'm concerned, is not an issue and is probably normal. :thumbup: Just re-greased the TREs and increased (or is it decreased? not sure how they measure it) the toe in a bit so hopefully that helps alleviate the wobble my buddy said it had at highway speed.

Otherwise tonight was a success, my window is up so I can drive in the rain tomorrow. Huzzah.
