THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin, where'd you order the tube for your driveshaft from? Speedymetals.com? Looks like I can get 2' of 2.25x.120 dom for like $40 shipped, that should be enough to sleeve my old rear shaft.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That was included in STUFF.

Gawd.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. ok.

quick calculation, if I averaged 12mpg, it'd cost about 2 grand in fuel to go there and back. not too shabby, especially if I got justin or whoever to come and split fuel costs. This seems very doable, especially if I'm full time here by then, and therefore have paid vaca time I'll be able to use

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah I'd probably stash away $5k for the trip in case anything happened on the way out there like my injection pump shits the bed or something.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

after 9 hours in my truck on Sunday Justin and I were surprised to find ourselves saying we wouldn't have any problem staying in the truck for another 4 or more hours...aka I think I want to do this trip with you fellas, and I plan to make it there in a couple days tops

32 hours in a cherokee on 35s was comfy

And then they end up on the side of the highway.

:D

TOW RIGS ARE THEB ESTEST THEY NEVER BREAK OR GO THROUGH CLUTCHESSSSSZZZ!!!!111!!77!!

what happens when your tow rig breaks while towing?

you have to call 2 tow trucks?

Cool. Maybe I'll borrow some of your cash stash to replace my injectors in Iowa :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Of course it would.

But there's a much higher chance of something breaking on a wheeling rig then a tow rig, especially on the return home.

then you arent building your wheeling rig strong enough

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and my solution to the tow rig breaking is towing with other people with tow rigs. I know I'd be glad to pull colin's setup off the back of my trailer a few miles to wherever we can fix/get it fixed... That'd be so badass :D

and my truck doesn't have a front hitch on it for nothin. I'm prepared for tow rig explosions, so long as there's another tow rig with me that's willing to flat tow my fat ass setup ;)

Sounds like Adam should have built a stronger engine and you should have put in a stronger transfer case.

It's never the drivetrain parts I'm worried about, it's just the dumb shit, basically all engine related. Like if a sensor goes out or whatever.

It's a lot harder to stay on top of maintenance on a wheeling rig since you're not driving it all the time. That's why my XJ was pretty reliable, I was driving it all the time.

My excuse for not driving my MJ out there would be shitty fuel mileage of a 440 :D

As long as we have enough cash between us to cover everything, we're golden.

So start saving.
