THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, we can get more than 3 rigs on if we are doing an 18 wheeler. We should all put tiny tires on, and maybe we can fit into a double decker car hauler!

I've driven to Tenessee before in an 18 wheeler. Its nice having a full size bed to stretch out on in the back while the other guy drives.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Double that number, they charge oversize fees. Cost me like 1000-1200 to ship black jeep from denver, co to canton, ma.

And mark, you have to give them the keys so they can load/unload it.

I didn't say not allow it to start. Rig up something clever like 1 minute run time before it shuts itself off, top speed of 3 mph, etc. Ken could probably wire something like that up.

Plus, you drive the Jeep to them, they load it up, you take the keys. You get to where they are delivering it with the key before them, hand them the key, they unload it. :D

only three rigs? Why not park them on top of each other and we can get at least 6 on a flat bed. and I'll steal somebody's 30ft camper trailer and bam, hotel on wheels plus rig transportation

DUDE, park them sideways on the trailer, and we can get a sweet convoy going down the highway with flashing lights and banners: WIDE LOAD!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Chris when we go to koh gooseneck on you cummins with my jeep and the race truck, ok? Ok.

That will be about as heavy as my XJ on my trailer by itself.

Or, your jeep on the gooseneck with an empty spot behind it, you driving my cummins, and me driving the race rig from NJ to KOH and back.

Trailer just in case. :D

I can't wait to drive to work with no windshield...

Colin, leave the planning to me. I'm going to do it anyway regardless because that's how I am and I don't trust any of you fools to make this happen.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm flip-flopping being a faggot and putting an NV4500 behind the 440 again.

There's one in Lowell for $600...

I could sell my drivetrain setup, complete, slightly used clutch for like $800?

I'd probably start off with a stock, flipped D300 to see how long it would last behind it.

Then again, I could be an insane faggot and do a doubler too.

XXXX me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just know that Chris's NV4500 shifts a little easier than my NP435, especially when it comes to racing.

It's also quieter, so I can hear my 440 better.

And I guess 5th gear would be cool.

as long as someone other than me does the planning, i'm happy

hmm. 600 eh? I won't actually buy it. Butttt I'd like to! So, you buy it, decide you don't want to use it, then sell it to me for half that. Cool thanks.

id like an overdrive in my j-10

needs to do faster than 70 in the desert.

there is actually a sticker in the door jam that says "vehicle speed not to exceed 55 mph"

I'd like an overdrive in my overdrive.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Every time I see a J10 I just want one more and more.

I woke up before my alarm today and felt great this morning. Then I rode to work and have been exhausted since. Damn cold weather. Can't wait to get the Mustang back but at least I have the Jeep for tomorrow.

Your gears aren't that low, you should be able to wind out to 70 or so in top gear low range right? And 4 spds are faster bc you shift less duh

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im going to look at a j-10 tonight.

for parts.

supposedly with very little rust and a good bed.

I'd race in high range so it doesn't matter. Top speed in low range is like 45 mph, 55 mph if I wind out the 440 to 7k rpms.

1st to 20mph
2nd to 45 mph
3rd to 75 mph
4th to lightspeed

If you're not trailering a race rig I'm not gonna be a bitch and tow a relatively mild xj. I've wheeled cross country and back once I can do it again.

It's something I'd like to do, but I know I'm not invincible. Chances of surviving a KOH race and being roadworthy to drive 3000 miles home are slim to none.

So unless you wanna pull a trailer behind your XJ, I'm sure Travis would be more than happy to step up. :D

I'll gladly drive your CTD and gooseneck with my MJ on the back.

:D
