THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So my boss just decided to let me know (by way of mentioning it in an email that I happened to be copied on) that he is taking tomorrow/Monday off after working from home all week.

I don't blame him since he has some shit going on at home, but it kindof sucks since I have been waiting for him to be on site before I take the time off to go get my license 'curfew' removed. Guess I'll put that off for another week.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It does seem like it's the best option overall, but some of the canned tuners are attractive just simply because of the fact that they're that much cheaper.

There's nothing like an SCT tuner for diesels? I can (and eventually will) get an SCT tuner for the Mustang which allows me to run both canned tunes and custom tunes.

I would just send a list of mods (if any) to the company and they provide the canned tunes appropriate for the listed modifications on my car. Then if I add other mods later on I just send a new list to the tuning company and they send me new tune files which I can load to the tuner and to the car. :dunno:

If I don't want to use their canned tunes I could also bring the car/tuner to a shop and they can use it to make custom tunes (or I could make/modify custom tunes on my computer with the provided software if I spent the time to learn wtf I was doing). Maybe that's the same type of thing you are talking about but idk for sure :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hopefully that means she isn't nuts :roflmao:

If all goes well I will be buying a Miller 375 plasma cutter for $105  It's supposedly a floor model that may be missing some small parts, but it looks like everything important is there.

Also looks like I'm putting stiffeners and rocker replacements on the MJ "real soon now". I decided to hold off on the rocker replacements till I have something to brace them to, because I kinda want this piece of shit to last...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Lifted 4-door rubicon...

Ken, I have an MJ tailgate in decent condition if you're interested. I got it to replace mine after I smooshed my nice one rolling over at the Hammers. Might be able to tie it to Adam's roof or something and bring it out to Rocktoberfest.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I might be interested - how much do you want for it?

You already know that I collect 'cool' parts if they are priced right :roflmao:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll dig it out next time I'm at the shop and take some pics for ya. I'd be surprised if I paid more than $50 for it, two and a half years ago.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

question guys, id like to have some sort of brakes for the move, i was just thinking of runing some hard live from each output of the prop valve to eack frt caliper, would this be workable?

got a small list to make the jeep move under its own power

tighten motor mounts
tourque yoke nuts on atlas
driveshaft ubolts
install adapter ujoint for rear

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that'll work but obviously no rear brakes.

Still need a roller? I have a couple 16.5s I'm probably gonna get rid of soon.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I mentioned yesterday a quote request I got from that country I'd never heard of, Andorra.

They basically copied & pasted the general description of our entire product line from our website, and said "please let me know price and shipping on qty. 3 of this item". As I was forwarded this request from some higher-ups in the company, I had to copy them on the reply and be nice about it:

Unfortunately it seems like you've copied and pasted the general description of our entire product line. In order to offer you a quotation, I need to know the specific type of unit you're looking for.

If this is to replace an existing unit, the serial number from the motor nameplate is the best place to start...otherwise if it's a new application, please send over the technical details and I can help you to select the appropriate product.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Got a reply back today.

That is the item i need and Do get back to me with the total cost

My response:

You've asked for a quote on every single product in every configuration we make in our worm gear series.

I need to know what you're looking for specifically before we can quote.

There's literally thousands of combinations in that series alone. If they ask again I'm thinkin I'll quote them a price of $10,000,000 for 3 of everything we can put together in that series.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Continuing:

Let me have the cost of this item below :

Mains connection 110 ... 690V, 50/60Hz

Email me back

(that is a copy/paste of one line from the general product description)

My response:

I believe you'll have to ask your local electricity provider for a quote on that.
