Every grown man should have two cars that can be driven on the street. I have the XJ and a Cadillac, I don't put dirty shit in the Cadillac or drive it in bad weather, and I don't drive the XJ on long trips (exceptions) or to pickup mom from the airport.

You still need to keep the XJ working but buy another car that gets you to work and back if you want to. Leasing is for retards

stupid inconsistent pizza shops. Just got a pizza and small order of fries. Sometimes I order a large from this place and it seems pretty weak, barely enough to feed one person nevermind a few... this time I got the small for myself and it's the largest fawking order of fries I have ever got. I shouldn't complain, they are tasty... but I would prefer orders of this magnitude when I'm feeding 3 or 4 people.

what do you mean "can be driven on the street"?

I have 2 that fit that bill and another that fits that bill unless I get pulled over.

4 hours wrenching = got nowhere.

knuckle is garbage, the hole is wallowed out for the ball joint. welded the ball joint to the knuckle. drove down the street ~45mph, hit a bump, huge DW. cracked the welds.

come monday i'll be driving some compact, getting 40mpg and not worrying if i can get to work in the morning, or if i have to borrow a car to see my girlfriend.

keep an eye out for a partout thread, bc im XXXXing done with this shit. im not living with a car payment, and a CC bill for a jeep i cant drive, and not being able to save a cent.

Honestly, I can understand and support you getting a DD(personally I wouldn't do a lease but if that's what's best for you then have at it!) But parting it out when your so close is insane. Just IMHO

I dont think getting a reliable DD with decent mileage is a bad idea at all, but parting the XJ on the other hand is. I would get the car, let the XJ sit for a bit until you clear your head, and work on it little by until you get everything worked out. You've put so much time and money into the thing makes no sense to give up now. Thats my .02, take it FWIW.

As I have said before, get the DD but wait for a while before you decide to do anything stupid with the XJ. Just stop putting money into it for a few months (or however long it takes) while you tackle the debt. Once those are paid off, then start budgeting money towards savings/jeep/etc.

My father just left to go to work. As soon as he was pulling out of the driveway someone started using a chop saw on the other side of the street/neighborhood. Definitely just had a "wtf is that horrible noise his car is making" moment until he drove away and the sound kept going :doh:

I'm about to put 2" more lift in the rear of my MJ for freeeeeee!

I won't be adding the other ~7-8" of free lift yet though.
