THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Neither have worked so far.
hit it harder. First time I did one I was afraid to, finally I got tired of it and said XXXX THIS PIECE OF SHIT and whacked the hell out of it and they popped right out. Careful you don't hit the edge of the pipe where the donut slides on though.

my question for everyone, will there ba a issue if i overfill a ax15, i doubt it will be by mutch
it'll puke out the overflow probably, doubt there would be an issue but why find out? Take the fill plug out, fill through the shift tower like you plan to, when it starts coming out the fill port you are done.

i have no idea where the fill plug is, alot dumped out when i installed it, about a quart, and with billy's oil filling standards i figured it was a quart low to start so i added 2 quarts

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it's on the driver side about 6" above the drain plug, and the same size.

I bought my trans from xjbeater, so I figured it was likely a very very good idea to drain all the fluid out and put in new fluid that I knew wasn't water, ATF, diesel, or non yellow metal safe GL-5 :spin1:

meh i trust billy, plus this trans has been rollover tested so i know all is good

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just run mobile 1 5w30 in my ax-15 and filled with a pump into the fill hole. I will never again use one of those hand pumps.

I have one, not sure what style, I think it came out of Travis' green XJ since I got it bolted to the steering column from that jeep. Yours free if you want it and I can find it.

cut a couple 55 gallon drums up, make yourself bicycle style fender flares, and get temp tags.

I demolished one of the rooms in the second floor of my house and pulled the spacers out of the back of the MJ today, plus giving it a ghetto alignment. It almost feels like I got something done, and I am racing the shit out of it tomorrow.

55 gallon drums are too much work, just do what I did and bolt some lawn edging to your fenders. $20 and a bit of time later and you have 2 sets of completely flexible fender flares.

... his tires aren't gonna be covered with lawn edging. ever.

I'm not going to be using the top portion just the bottom half so it shouldn't matter

If you can find it tomorrow I'll meet you when i'm done at the shop tomorrow. Shoot me a txt if you find it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Finally thinking it's about time I order some decent tools now that my old stanley socket set is missing half the parts. Anyone got any input on brand?

I am almost ready to order metric and SAE double box GearWrenches, a gearwrench ratchet, and probably just another full set of stanley sockets (never had any issues with their sockets). Any other brands I should look at? been debating between craftsman and gearwrench and from what I read some people recommends craftsman while others swear by gearwrench. :dunno: I've also read some reviews saying gearwrench can be warrantied at sears or lowes while other people say you have to mail them out for replacement but lots of the reviews are over a year old so idk what policies may have changed.

haven't found it yet, I was flying my jeep, my phone is busted. I'll post up here if I find it.

Some of you take this "jeep building" thing too seriously... :gee:

Sheep, Billy, and Bradley called me up from the campfire last night at like 1AM and accused me of not being present, which was fairly accurate. So I said screw it, threw all the shit I knew I wouldn't need out of the back of the dirty POS, and got on the road. 3 miles from home I get pulled over. WRITTEN WARNING! :yelclap:

Made it as far as center of belchertown, got pulled over again. WRITTEN WARNING! :yelclap:

Got there and everyone was already trashed. so they kept drinking and I started.

Race was more fun than any other wheeling I have ever done, probably because it meant everyone was hammering down instead of telling me to be cautious... I honestly expected to go home on a flatbed, so I said the hell with it. Went up the same ledge that I did a 4 foot endo on last year WITHOUT doing so, and the jeep was still wheelable afterwards... just ripped my tow hooks off. So we start racing and my jeep is the biggest pile of shit present. By the end of the day I had torn off and punctured one front shock, ripped off one rear shock mount on the axle (expected them to break off a thousand miles ago, the welds sucked), ripped a hole in my downpipe with the pinion yoke, XXXXed up the front bumper, XXXXed up the rear bumper, put a 1" deep dent in one front rim, ripped off my front skid plate, mangled the trans crossmember, and I think I probably blew the other two shocks as well.

Then I drove it home :dunno:
