THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:dunno:

I enjoy the streetability of my stockish XJ.

I enjoy the streetability of my XJ as it sits now.

Unfortunately, local law enforcement does not. :(

I'd drive that XXXXer everywhere if it wouldn't get impounded instantly. It actually goes great down the road.

X2. Mine gets a bit squirrely above ~40mph though, but that could just be the 6-8psi in the wide tires.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Does anyone know if FW axles are legal to go on the street in VA?

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

 X2! You are 85% the way there now!

On a totally different note, anyone have any experience (good or bad) with 4 Seasons (aka, SMP) A/C Compressors?

Its not even %60 there still have whole brake and fuel system a stupid amount of fab and thw whole interior and floor I'm not sure about the motor or clutch I'm kinda sick of it I may just let it sit for a few weeks untill I figure shit out

Thats a better approach. Take a break from it and let it sit if you need to, but sont unload shit. You'll regret it, especially with all the time money and effort already in it...

Sell the wheels and get some that don't make you wider than a Sherman tank and drive it there. Unless you need the cash now you can still finish this.

I can't help you with the job part, sorry.

I am only 45min away, you can call me for help if you need it. You added the extra work of swapping the trans yourself. ;)
I'm with Travis, you'll hate yourself for selling it.

It's not the axles, its the tires past the fenders that could/would be an issue.
Curious here, how old are you? Is Keith no longer the young'un?

As others have mentioned it's not necessarily the axles in and of themselves it's the tires beyond the fenders. IIRC here in MA the law says that your tires cannot extend more than 1/2" outside the fenders. When I got my 33x12.50s they stuck out 4-5 inches I think. My solution was to run lawn edging flares that covered then 100% and I haven't really had issues since then.

I think with proper backspaced wheels and narrower tires I could run full width axles and keep the Jeep about the same width as when I had those wheels/tires, maybe a couple inches wider but not too much relatively speaking.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Keith you can be proud, you still keep your young dudette status! :looney:
