Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Lost internet at home till tomorow night so I guess that XXXXs me over for fc signups

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Not too sure I want to be in the garage any more. I think my house got hit with lightning. The 220v outlet sparked, lost all lights and then they came back. Kinda sketchyyyy

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think i'm going 37s. too many people are rocking 35s on a locked 30 and never have a problem. and i just want to have bigga tyaz than all the n00blar kids with stock axles and 35s.. especially after dumping so much cash into mine.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mornin' folks.

Talk about good timing... rolled into the office today and it was still pretty nice out, a bit overcast but bright enough for sun glasses.. by the time I got to the top (fourth) floor and into my office I could hear tons of thunder outside. not 5 minutes later it was POURING.

Thank god I didn't have to ride the motorcycle today

I got 500 feet down my road after leaving my house and the skies opened up. Same thing- glad I checked the weather and took the car. First time I've touched the car in a week.

Yeah, I heard on the radio that it was raining down towards providence during my ride in so I knew the rain was coming... I just didn't realize how close behind me it actually was. I forgot to grab the umbrella today so glad it held off the extra few minutes.

Also very glad I picked up the new car last night. '05 Mustang GT. Soooooo much better than the Altima though it does have a couple things I gotta bring it to the dealer about and hope they will address them post-sale.

I had to bring it back for a new ebrake cable that was agreed upon before sale and a trim piece that I noticed was missing post-sale that they agreed to fix for me. On the ride in today I noticed a very slight vib at 75-80mph and I noticed that one of the front speakers is def blown. Hopefully they check out the vib and balance the tires or whatever but I don't really care about the speaker... it will be upgraded eventually anyway.. it would be nice to get the speaker fixed for the time being but if they say no I won't bitch and moan, though they have been good about addressing all my little nitpicking shit so far.

Back before I used to wheel hard, I didn't even consider my D30 reliable on 33's.

I don't know anyone who actually "wheels" who hasn't had a problem with 35's on a locked 30 at some point. One of those not 'if' but 'when' kinda deals.

If you wanna go 37's, maybe go with the hummer tires...at least that way you'll never have to worry about getting enough traction to break stuff. :D

Can't wait to rock 35s again.

still doorless and topless here because i dont have a vagina

lol.

You mean you don't want to be cool and dump all that money into your axles and run...33's?

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Now that I have had some good seat time with it on. I LOVE hydro assist. The best mod I've ever done.

I don't listen to web wheelers. I listen to Colin. He said I was gay if I ran 4.56 instead of 4.88's, and now I love my 4.88s. Then he said I would be even gayer if I run 35s on my 30 so now I'm building a 44. I can't see how I can go wrong. Neither of us have any idea what we're doing so only cool stuff can happen. :dunno:

ugh i know. i mean, i never had a problem with 260s on 33s open and i pushed it fairly hard at times. i have the ox, lockouts, and alloys pushing me one towards 37s, but the fact that the u-joints are the same size as a 30 pushing me to 35s... and that D60 is gonna be so huge with only 35s hanging off each side. it's not gonna be a crazy helicopter red trail crawl machine but i'm not a pussy either. XXXX. :rattle:

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Going from black jeepp with lockers and big tires to red jeep is the most fun I've had wheeling and years. Stockish jeeps are a blast to wheel, I gotta plan my lines, not just point and shoot.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I suck at driving Jeeps that aren't built to the hilt. All I do is smash it into trees and break every mirror that is outside of my Jeep. And I still haven't gone against any ninja trees, just some dumb logs.

fact!

I gotta disagree with this.

Fully locked at a minimum. I don't even know how to spot for open diffs anymore.

I'm downsizing a lot...but I'm pretty sure 35's and locked f/r is the "least" capable thing I'll ever wheel again. Flogging stockish stuff to get up things just doesn't really do it for me.

I'll watch other people do it all day long though. :D

Knock on wood nothing broke yet. but I carry spares for everything. Because I know it WILL break/snap/explode. it just hasn't happened yet.

That just means you never pushed your Black XJ to its limits.
