Want. Clutch. Cover. They're doing a group buy right now. Totally not worth it for something that's just for show :(

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you cant predict the weather there 5 days in advance and expect it to be remotely accurate

Trust me, I know.

At least I won't be disappointed though. If there's a 10% chance of flurries there, we plan on a blizzard...and it's happened.

The two hardest thunderstorms I've ever experienced in my life were at that place. One was the first night I was ever there, on the first trip I ever made with the jeep after doing the 4x4 conversion. Helluva first impression. :D

I want oneeee. I have no idea when I'll be able to afford it though. working this half assed job and two cars sucks. Can't imagine having to pay for a bike too.

That's going to be really expensive to fix when you eat shit. Not if. When.

Just sayin' because it happens to everyone.

Plus, it's purple. :puke:

Did it burn off for you yesterday? It was foggy all day long for me. Crappy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm still trying to figure out were Anthony is going to ride a dirt bike in Westport.

I believe he was speaking of Rausch Creek.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill, serious?

Look at the map.

And if I get a KTM I could street it between riding areas, so no need for a trailer or anything.

There's also a huge network of trails stretching through Carver and Plymouth and stuff. Scotty knows them like the back of his hand, from the sounds of it.

It's a dirt bike, I don't care if it gets scratched. I know everyone falls, I already have. I only grabbed a pic of the purple one because it was the first one with no mirrors. Stock mirrors are gay as hell on those.

Im still trying to figure out why Anthony is on a jeep forum when he keeps all his attention on other stuff.

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

?
I see places for a street bike, nothing for a dirt bike, quad or similar. Unless you are just riding though other peoples back yards or fields.
Maybe I'm missing something. I will admit I thought you were in a neighborhood without so many trees and had much more concrete.

Mark, that Mini is what I want or the 527 version of it. I've got an SOG (Chinese, I know

, but I got it for free for filling out a survey) that works for now though. I can't spend $90-110 on a pocket version.

I screwed up the first link. Try here

Why would I ever want to live in that setting? There are other parts of the state that have trees and woods than North Central MA :farmer:

Did you ever explore off campus? Southern NB, Dartmouth, Westport, and Little Compton are very rural and not dense at all. That's where I've been going on my (street) joyrides.

Maybe it is me that is confused here, but I don't consider that a dirt bike. That is more of a road bike that can see a dirt road for a few miles, IMO. My 1st thought of a dirt bike is something like this:

Ahh, I didn't realise you could ride self-propelled vehicles in that state forest area.

I know that. :D

This. I have gone from pretty damn near the cape to Hanson via trails and power lines. There are trails all over the place and I have never got shit for being on the land. Only time I ever even heard from anyone was out behind the independence mall in Kingston.

My brother decided to drive through there and sunk his Expedition in a puddle and blew a coolant line or something. I shot over on the XT with tow strap/tools/etc so a friend could pull him out (friend was there with a truck). Long story short my buddy took the XT to run and grab some water or something and, while riding out, dropped my registration on the trail.

Couple months later I got a letter from one of the families who lives out there saying "found this while walking our dog, thought you might want it. We have no problem with you riding out here but please stay out of the sand pits" (we never went in the sand pits anyway so it was a non-issue).

Not saying its entirely "legal" to ride all of the trails but I have seen cops as I pulled out of trails and never got stopped.

can you touch the ground?

at rausch creek. it gets so thick down there so thick you cant see 10 feet in front of you and have to drive at a snails pace on the highway.

it gets pretty tarded

I'm still trying to figure out if Anthony actually has a rolling pin collection.
I think he is talking about his shocks/bumps.

x2 on that. The one Keith linked is a motard style IMO.

Yep, that one is super popular for that. I'm not sure on the rules at other SFs, but I know it's legal to ride there as long as the bike is either streetable or has a ATV plate. They might have laws against quads, but don't quote me on that.
