I did this with my 800 dollar rotted out turd of a comanche AND IT DROVE HOME! It even still drives, and driving it a little bit last night made the driver side headlight magically fix itself. I love problems that fix themselves when I ignore them for weeks.

Just out of curiousity, do any of you guys wear any dust masks while grinding/cutting?

I don't bother while welding (unless that body sealant crap is in the vicinity...that stuff will make you high), but I wear a crappy little dust mask while cutting/grinding. Probably going to go pick up some more and make sure they're N95.

I know the Heleta discs don't use silica (aka no chance of silicosis thank god).

I'm in more of an enclosed area with little venitilation so I'm more concerned about it. Annoying coming out of there with black boogers.

Not normally but if I have to do something like that in the garage than I usually have a couple of those cheapy masks laying around. It really is annoying to have black boogers

Everything I've done/have left to do is in a 16x20 garage. So I am somewhat concerned as well.

I'm just thankful I have a roof haha.

Cut/grind inside my container, nothing is worse then that. I wear the little dust mask thingys, makes a big difference. If Im outside and cutting a few pieces, I wont. If Im outside under the jeep and grinding down the whole framerail I will though.

Yeah I guess I'm just worried because EVERYTHING is covered in dust inside my tent from all the cutting/grinding.

I tried sweeping the driveway and tasted sand :laugh:

Once it's down on it's own weight, pending time constraints for NACfest, I'm going to push it out, drag the tent somewhere for half the day, and pressure wash the driveway to hopefully get rid of it all as well as wash the MJ.

I don't even want to think about how many harbor freight russian cancer disks I inhaled before I noticed the cancer warning and stopped using them entirely.

Ya, I usually wear them while cutting. I still manage to have some black stuff in my nose from time to time.

Yeah I'd bet those have silica in them. Glad I stopped using them.

Heleta says on their site they use aluminum oxide in their discs. Not as harmful, but still not great to breathe.
