Why do him and that onetonfag feel the need to be the moderators of the cherokee section. They post on every friggin thread thinking they're the man and everyone else sucks.

Listen buddy. Automotive stuff is a friggin joke in the power transmission industry. Anything automotive is ridiculously undersized compared to even the minimum guidelines I'm allowed to base designs on. Our mid-size bevel gearbox has a ring & pinion about the size of a Dana 30, and the maximum rated input on that box is 30 horsepower at 1800 RPM.

If anything, that makes bearing tolerance more important in something like an axle. We've seen how critical it is to minimize housing & carrier deflection in order to keep ring & pinions alive in 30's and 35's. No way in hell are you gonna take a bearing with a tolerance swing of 0.030" and build a housing that'll work with that. WTF dimension has that kind of acceptable tolerance? Certainly not the shaft bore or the OD...

thats lame wtf. if i take more than 4 sick days in a year (not a calendar year) i get a verbal warning.. then after than it comes out of my FTO.

They do it so you think a little bit before taking sick days.

much higher... say 1280x1024 at the minimum, thats standard screen size. my camera shoots at like 3000 something by 5000 something.. 18 MP lol.. its too much.

it really depends on what the calendar is printed at also.. probably 300dpi. anyway, that pic quality really isnt good, no offense to whoever took it.. the lighting looks like it was cloudy and gettng dark, and your under trees... hard for a not-expensive camera to get a good shot there.

Goddammit Anthony, it's so much more interesting to give the guy a shovel instead of a way out. :laugh:

On a side note, most of the pics in that contest thread are horrible for T-shirts. Trying to isolate the jeep from the background and get it down to a monochrome image is gonna be a chore and a half for many of those.

On a side note, most of the pics in that contest thread are horrible for T-shirts. Trying to isolate the jeep from the background and get it down to a monochrome image is gonna be a chore and a half for many of those.

eh, not so much. depends on who prints it/how they need the pic. making it a vector image? yea a chore. leaving it a jpg for a digital print? not a big deal.. 20-30 mins tops.

First one's not bad, second one's good quality but the trees are kinda prominent (and blocking the back corner of the jeep).

This. T-shirt shops are gonna want it as a vector; we had a tough enough time as it is finding the basic logo in an acceptable format.

Mm yes follow me around the whole time! i think the 2nd pic i used is a really cool picture, mia took it using marks camera, but like chris said, that damn tree got in the way
