THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

 I gots to pay taxes on my jeeps today. On the plus side though, black jeeps insurance continues to get cheaper. It costs me ~$150 a year now, its cheapness is why I will continue to keep it tagged/plated and with a whole lotta luck stickered.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Two reasons:

1. I don't have to try and clear the ram and diff cover
2. I can have sweet angles like this at full bump:

Oh OK. Now I am seeing it. I figured there was a reason, I haven't spent much time staring at full hydro setups to fully understand the clearance/fitment issues. Looks good.

I also commend you on your "I'm gonna GET IT DONE AND GET BACK OUT WHEELING" attitude with this project too. Keep it up.

Thanks Andy. It's tough with working fulltime and having classes, but I just force myself to get outside

I've had a lot of help from people too, from Bill answering all my noob-fab questions and Adam selflessly helping me through all hours of the night (loading the drivetrain in at 10:30-11 on a Sunday night), to even Carmelo doing errands for me during the day while I'm at work (scoring me JY parts and getting me welding supplies).

Sounds ghey, but without them I wouldn't be at this point in my build at all.

What about picking up all these parts in NH and metal? :D

Sounds ghey, but without them I wouldn't be at this point in my build at all.

Maybe one of these days I'll make Adam come work on mine then....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can picture it now:

Adam: hey colin can you help me with ___________ this weekend?

Colin: XXXX no, i dont have time for that, im goin WHEELIN

:)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haha I won't mind helping him.

Hell, I towed Carmelo's Honcho up to Fall Crawl and spent the previous night and the day we were leaving helping him get it ready.

It was glorious

If it wasn't for Colin I probably would have stayed up all night and failed both my finals the next day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I worked on my Honcho between finals that day too. What an awesome day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haha, no filter? I'm not that ballsy with my luck I'd suck in a bird or something.
does this mean you'll be doing more skydriving?

:roflmao:

The 98 is all kinds of XXXXed, cyls 3 and 4 not providing any power, makes awesome backfiring sounds from the intake when I goose it. I'm hoping the cat is plugged but it could easily be burnt/broken valves from the sound of it. My damn compression gauge doesn't have long enough threads to use on a jeep or I would know already.

But I fixed the 96, soldered up the radiator, rerouted the tranny lines over the valve cover so they will never get mashed by my UCA again. When are we going wheeling?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm quickly becoming obsessed with this little YJ thing I wanna build.

Anyone have any experience with the Auburn ECTED lockers?

Also wondering what it would take for RCV to do a set of shafts for a TTB setup...

Damn it.

Also intriguted by this:

No one makes a spool for a Dana 35, or the 30-spline Super 35 kit. But a Detroit Super HP35 kit (30-spline) with a set of RCV TTB shafts would be pretty good I think...problem is I think the HP35 gears crap out at 4.10s. No bueno.

Nevermind, found 4.88. Still not where I wanna be, but that could work. 8.8 out back with good shafts and an electric locker to round it out.
