you god damn post whoreI reached 10k posts and didn't even realize it.
Just got my quote on the H1's. Maybe it's because I live so damn far away (he's in Cali), but it was waaaay more than I expected, $1k-$1400ish, depending on what I went with.
How are do people get 8 bolts locally?
Wow, thanks. I'll check that out. I wonder how much shipping is... For anyone else that goes there, the link isn't working for me. The parent site is though so just delete the custom-hummer-wheels.
edit: That price doesn't include the PVC insert or a rock ring. With all that I'm back up to $250+/wheel. Depending on how good their shipping prices are it would still be better than the other quote I got.
edit#2: just 'built' my wheels as I'd have liked to order them. $304 before discount.
Chris, why couldn't I use 2.25 x .250 w DOM for my rear driveshaft, and just slug it to the stock driveshaft yokes with 1.75 x .120 w DOM?
Aka double cardan section with little bit of stock tubing left, slug into 2.25, slug into leftover stock tubing and slip yoke?
Be thicker/stronger than 1.75?
Colin, why dont you just shut up and cut down a stocker front shaft and retube it with 1.75 x .120? I doubt you'll have a problem, I trust mine.
So why don't you just shut up and pull the string out, since you obviously wheel like a girl. :dunce:
Eat what? How did I get involved in this?

I was making fun of how only half your tires are cool:wave:
He tried to brag about breaking brute force u-joints on 35s once.
We all just made fun of him.
I got a TW shaft laying around that like 2.5" or something, maybe I'll try to use that.
I'm going to build my new front driveshaft out of Colin's MJ's stock rear driveshaft. It is like 4" in diameter.
WHAT NOW
double cardans and slip joints be damned, I'll install a slip yoke on the front output of my np231
:moon: :moon: :moon:
Actually I've been happy with the combo so far.
50% happy? :dunno:
So I could just use 2.25 x .250 w and use the stock yokes then right?
