So I started the homework early, and it's friggin cake. Just one problem left to discuss with someone when I meet with them at 4, so I should be out of here at like 5-5:30ish.

Haha, my XJ hasn't been full bodied for almost 6 months and I've already got a dove nose planned out. Right now my tire choice is probably a 42" Rocker, pending price... Like Billy said, it's a dick measuring contest. So who's gonna get the 44" Boggers?

So much for my $1500 budget on rims & tires.

You can stay in the garage/on the computer and continue measuring your dick while I go wheel

So much for any kind of budget when you build something like that (air shocks, supercharger, 40" + tires, chopped, linked f/r, etc.)

42" Rockers are going to blow the price out of the water.

Do start huffing and puffing at this, but honestly I think you need to take a step back and really think about what you are spending on your project. I know that might sound odd coming from me, but hey I learned the hard way things get out of control quick.

It'll happen and you've got a bunch of people who can help (with stuff other than the funding).

Yup.

If I had to take a rough guess at what I've spent so far, I wouldn't be afraid to say somewhere in the $6k range.

After all said and done, I'm sure I'll be closer to $10k. And that's a full bodied, uncaged MJ on coils/leaves.

And I'm not adding a supercharger, linking the rear, running airshocks/airbumps all the way around, or doing a cage/nice seats right now (or even a fuel cell).

It adds up EXTREMELY fast.

Looks awesome!

I hate the aftermarket windshield visors on a lot of trucks but for some reason the J truck ones just look awesome.

Thanks! I rarely see the visors for them as they're usually from some other truck. Up until 1980, they all had the "brow" built in. I like them browless as the brick on wheels is already not aerodynamic.

Red jeep has zero brake friction material on the PS e-brake shoes. That would probably explain why it doesnt work.

I tried to stay on good terms with my last ex, was working well up till around early december. Then I got real busy on the house and she invited me to a new years bash in boston, I was like "dude, I have to work on the house, sorry" and she got angry about it, invited me again the next evening, I was still busy on the house. She pretty much cut contact and neither I nor most of our mutual friends have heard from her since. Wish it hadn't happened... but there wasn't much I could do, I simply didn't have the time. Oh well, life goes on. If she had wanted to be able to make that kind of demands on my time maybe she shouldn't have dumped me :dunno:

I figure in a couple months I might be trying for a relationship again anyways (once life settles down a bit and I'm not paying rent), and there is nothing more awkward and likely to cause drama than trying to maintain a friendship with an ex while in another relationship, so it probably was for the best.
