THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Travis, If you plan on wheeling your XJ this summer, don't chop it.

I got some sheet metal welding and rusted panel cutting done, but nothing all that worth taking a picture of.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Random fact, clutch/brake pedal assemblies are diffrent between 84-94 and 95-04 due to the dual diaofram booster change
yep... there is a change (or two) sometime in the 89 to 93 timeframe as well, haven't nailed down exact date(s) yet. I need to get a new WJ booster for the MJ anyways, and I have the pedal assembly sitting in my shed, so I'm gonna hold the two together and figure out how much I have to re-form the pushrod before putting it in the jeep.

I have the WJ booster and MC in my comanche. It was easy.

likewise, but mine pooped out. It makes some pretty awesome hissing and gurgling and whistling noises now. It always made a little hiss when I pressed the pedal, I think it started out bad and got a lot worse quickly because I never corrected for the difference in pushrod ends so the pushrod was at an angle.

But its worth taking a pic of a breaker bar on a D70...?

Come on dude don't leave us hanging

That was more to give Mark a hard time about the fact that I was using my 'vice' and the ghetto setup I came up with to get enough torque into the pinion nut.

There's nothing to be left hanging about. It's some boring sheet metal welding on the driver's side frame rail and the cab is a bit shorter.

Why in the world did a town plow just drive by salting the road?

Huh, really?

That seems kind of weird, you didn't mention that was what you were trying to do, or me at all when you posted that.

That "ghetto" set up was being resourceful, its something that you need to be when working on cars. I've done stuff like that before, Stilson wrench with long pipe over the handle for more torque. You should have seen how I pressed the studs and hub out of my front rotors, and how I reinstalled new ones using my HF press. It might have been scary, and it might have involved a piece of a cherokee engine mount, but I can't really say for sure...

Why would I give you crap for using a vice as a vise?

You posting pictures of a vise with dirt on it, then all dusted off, then of it opened, and then of it closed on the other hand...well I'm sure we all know how a vise works. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, I have the washers... I corrected for the length difference but not the offset.

Odd that you guys have/had a 90 and a 93 with no issues and my 91 had issues. Maybe the booster really was just hosed and I am overthinking this, though I still think the pushrod being at a goofy angle was probably not good for it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

FML. Moving 15 armoires, a 14b, and a D30 was not the best idea yesterday. My lower back is seeking revenege on me this morning.
